Default Would you pay to take a picture with Stan Lee?

At Fan Expo, they are offering photo ops with Stan Lee for $50. Would you guys pay that much to take a picture with the man?

No..I like him, but I wouldn't pay for a pic with anyone..He's earned my respect for his autograph etc, but not for a pic.

Would it have to be a CGC certified autograph, too?

Ok, are you doing it for the money or for the meaning of actually meeting?

Picture = more personal
Autograph = $$ gain

just the principle of having to pay to take a picture with anyone is ludicrous to me. i wouldn't pay 10 bucks to have my picture taken with the president, much less stan lee.

paying 50 to get a auto on a comic that will increase the value and add to the collectability one thing. 50 to get a pic of me and stan doing the spider man web shooter pose? um no thanks.

the most pathetic thing i've seen was at franks awhile back, were people paying 20 bucks or so to take a picture with the nasty boys and jimmy hart. i felt bad for everyone involved in that scenario. here are pics to prove it.

Event Pictures -

don't be one of those guys meister.

I paid for the signature, but was lucky my cousin was slick enough to snap this quick pic of me with The Man.

The photo nazis were all over him, but he still came through with a decent shot! Now that I've already spent the money on the sig, I would consider dropping the additional $50 for a photo with him. $100+ is just a lot to spend all at once.

But you know, you're questioning it which means you want to do it. Do yourself a favor and just do it. It may be the only opportunity you ever get and if you miss it, you'll regret it forever.

I would pay $10 for a picture with ScarJo in the Black Widow outfit and Jennifer Lawrence(as Mystique), all day, everyday.

Yeah right, I had barely 30 seconds with the man (which was more than most people got), he was getting ALL my attention. I don't even remember what I said to him, it was something like "Dyaiii der uhhh errfffererrr duurrrr...." I got a fist-bump and walked away happy.

Judging other people sounds awesome! I'm sure there is another highly intelligent individual out in this world that is thinking how stupid people must be for buying comicbooks or collecting cards.

I've never been big on judging people. Define normal?

Do what makes you happy, and what you will remember down the road. Not everything is about money.

P.S. Have fun!

Paying for a pic seems weird to me. Just have a hot girlfriend, stay in the same hotel and wait for Stan to slip his security detail. He usually goes wandering around for a while. Then let stan get some attention from a hot chick while you get to ask questions about the Thing's thing or whatever. He might get a little handsy though. I called him Stan "the hands" Lee all weekend after that.
This was from a few years ago. Please note that beside me was not my girl, but my friend Ryan whom i regretfully had to murder for the following reason. A little later, i got some beers in me and photo dance bombed all over the Man.
He turned around right after that and gave me a high five that my friends failed to photograph. I beat them until i was worn out that evening and ended the day having a drink with Christopher Lloyd in the suite lounge. (hopefully this doesn't seem like bragging. I just don't really hang out with a lot of people who would appreciate these sorts of shenanigans)
