Indy, take a chance on that Hastings you live by. I bet they have some.

I don't know, the Hastings I visited a few weeks ago didn't have any Rachel Rising. That's actually a series I keep my eye for since I'm missing #7 and my 1 and 2 are 2nd prints.

i had my hands on 2 #1 1st prints earlier today. i called in and had them hold those along with a #2 and 3, which was mistake #1. so i get there and ask for them and they hand them to me. i start browsing seeing what else they have and find some test and declassified too. so i grab two of each which is their policy, and i've bought here quite a few times already so they may be recognizing me now. i go to checkout, and the kid behind the counter tells me sorry but i talked to the owner and he wants to limit purchases to only one comic. he says some mumbo jumbo about dealers in the area and what not, i asked him since when does buying two of each comic make you a dealer? and he tell me sorry but it's just what the owner said.

so he limits me to one of everything, and i was thinking of arguing but it wasn't worth it to me, and if that's there policy so be it i will abide it, even though it did seem like some bulsh!t to me.

so about a hour later curiosity got the better of me and i figured i would have my brother call and hold the other #1, and have him hold it and pick it up later for me. so he calls me back and tells me the guy on the phone said they only have #1 2nd print. c'mon man really? what a dirtbag move, and i figured as much when i was at the counter paying earlier. they have never blinked a eye before when i bought two of something as is their policy, and now barely a hour later the comic isn't there anymore? not likely, either this kid or the owner relaized what they had and cornholed it. which is their right, but at least be straight with me and don't lie and be so sleazy about it, cowards. i could understand if they didn't want to sell me both but be a man about it.

but this place is like a little goldmine for back issues so i will probably still go back. they had like 6 copies of the test and declassified on the shelf still, and i took 3 of each and hid them in the back issues to go pick up at a later time, lol.

well at least i got a #1, and i picked up 2 #1 2nd prints at another store earlier in the day. sorry for the long story, lol.

I hate that ish.

Disgusting policy.

Either always limit or never limit.

The Rachel Rising I found at the shop indy has a spine dent in the upper 1/4 of the book, but other than that it's in primo shape. Minor flaw really for such a hard book to find, so I picked it up as I know this one will be tough to find in any shape.

you really have to love the series to pick it up for those prices. I'm a big Terry Moore fan but I'd rather buy art from SiP than RR. Granted the RR art is amazing as well...

My LCD had issues 6, 7, 8 among others are these worth picking up for $4 each?

They might, but I don't think my car will make the trip again. I've got an 1994 Ford Taurus that's on it's last legs and can really only make short drives.

Could be worthy investments at those prices, yes. Really depends upon success of the show, but they're very short printed books and if the show is a hit, they'll be worth a nice chuck-o-change

I found some #2's on Amazon, just picked one up. Get them before they're gone as #2 seems to be selling out everywhere as well.

That may be my plan for tomorrow. I've never been out there. Might as well take a drive and see what treasures I can dig up.

Crud, I sold mine for $100 this morning, but I only paid $4 for it.

Also, a set of 1-13 just went for $271.

can you say en fuego?!! and it seems gas is being thrown onto it as well.. what's the ceiling on #1 as it's shorter printed than WD #1 was from an indie publisher!!

I think eventually #1 will settle in the $100 range until the tv show actually gets produced, then who knows! Selling one for $100 paid for all my other 11 and then some! Gotta love this...nothing like sports cards!

I just now went ahead and bought 1 copy of each back issue (outside of #1 and #2 as they're already sold out) here as I'm already seeing these double/triple in price and you can still pick them up for cover here

I understand that. IF you strike gold though, it could pay for repairs plus more!

I hit 4 hastings, found some stuff. Nothing earth shattering, but did find 1,3,5 etc. But they're in "Hastings" condition.

I have a feeling tons of people will regret selling it now and not waiting for a month or so. But that's just me

Could be, but I'm hoping I can find more, but this is gonna be a tough book to find in the wild.

Remember guys green lighting & making air are 2 things

*cough*chew*cough*

It's simple, if you have multiples, sell some/keep some - if not, strike while the irons hot I say.

It's an easy shot East up I70, about 2hrs.. Can't miss it as it's at the Richmond exit about 100 feet away from the Interstate. Just look it up on Googlemaps and print out directions.. Let us know if you find some!!
