I just hit up three stores in the Jacksonville, FL area. The weather was real crappy today so it might have had a slow turnout. One shop had a three book limit, one had a two book limit, and the last gave out packets based on your preference. The first store gave out some pretty damaged books.

Overall, I was able to get everything I wanted with several extra copies because of myself and my wife.

Oh and fyi, Iron Man 3 in 3D was pretty awesome. Not Dark Knight level of amazing but still worth the 28 dollars for two 3D tickets.

Here's a breakdown of the loot I was able to score:

2000 AD Special
Aphrodite IX #1
Astrid Lindgren's Pippi/Anna & Froga
Bleeding Cool Magazine
Bongo Comics Free-For-All
Chakra the Invincible
Damsels
Disney Fairies Tinker Bell
FUBAR
Harbinger Wars Special Midtown Exclusive Custom Edition
Kizoic Presents Sesame Street & Strawberry Shortcake x3
Infinity Midtown Exclusive Custom Edition
Infinity
Ramayan 3392 AD
SpongeBob
Star Wars/Avatar
Steam Engines of Oz
Strangers #1
Superman Last Son Of Krypton Midtown Exclusive Custom Edition
Superman Last Son Of Krypton
Ugly Doll Comics
Walking Dead x2
World Of Archie Digest

Chakra, Strangers, Red Ten and Pippi seemed to me to be the hardest to get.
I had Red Ten ripped out of my cart on Midtown, and the shop I went to was already out of all except Pippi, which I got the last copy of. I believe I got the last copy of either FUBAR or Ugly Doll as well, I don't remember which one it was. I just know I landed 2 final copies, and I was in line for about an hour.

I'm 99% sure that nobody has a high speed police chase end in a crash in front of their comic book store on FCBD today!

And some hash tags to help with searching :-)

went to two shops in the Kennesaw/Marietta area (north of Atlanta).
both had pros & cons. (pics later).
Bought more books on sale than picked up free books.

I'm not a fan of shops stamping their name on the free books.

Yeah that site was functioning even worse than normal all day. Had a cartful of stuff i was waiting til today to buy and combine shipping. Tried on my iPad at first at panera, no luck. Then i lost everything in my cart. Went home to try on my laptop and they were sold out of all but a few, it would only add 1 comic to my cart so I just gave up and went to the LCS.

Indy and Sideline - I stopped at comic carnival. Was bummed at the 4 book limit. Might try to convince the lady to stop at downtown north before dinner

My 4 books

Not a bad plan, the line should have died down by now. When i drove by a little after 11 it was out the door and went to the corner of the strip mall. saw the owner stamping a selection of their books last week, looks like they got a lot of stock in. hope you find what you still want!

Honestly about half at most places. Mostly with really little kids. 2 shops had separate lines for people with only free books. I tried to spend double what I grabbed in free comics at each LCS, because I'm a weekly customer at all 3 stores.

I did manage to snag a few books from midtown, before they were all gone, that I wanted. Thanks for the tip on that guys. I just quick threw everything in my cart that was still available and checked out. Got some kids stuff coming I guess. I will have to give them to my friends kids. Hopefully they'll read them and like em

That is weird. I didn't get there till about 11:20. There were probably about 20 books left. By the time my order was complete I think I got 14. 6 of them were all scooped up in the 2 minutes it took to do order

I hit up two stores this morning. Was able to get everything I wanted, plus books for the kiddies (Sponge Bob, Ninja Turtles, Seasame Street, etc). Had a blast and I have plenty of reading material for the porcelain library for awhile. Turnout was way higher than previous years.
