I don't see it on either of his facebook pages or anywhere else on the web, and I just talked to him about Think Tank on Saturday. Where am I missing the info?

Although, it will be hard to want to part with any of it. Movie is cool, but read this book because it's awesome!(but if lurkers want to buy it like crazy to make mine hold more value, cool...). But the substance matter is worth far more than a quick flip on this one.

Emails from Matt. I knew he was pitching it a few weeks ago. A CGC boardie who had been communicating with him got the good news recently.

Anybody notice Rich Johnston's "spoilsport" comment on Matt's Facebook? It may have been because he was mum on how the meeting went...who knows. That's just speculation.

Ironically, I have never owned a #1 First Print. I'll just have to settle for these

Think Tank #1, Page 1

Think Tank #1, Page 6 (first ever page of Dr. David Loren)

Think Tank #1, Page 19 (first page of Mirra Sway)

And I still have one of these

Something going on with think tank?

I woke up this morning and sold 3 bagus variants and 3 regular #1s all in one night to different people.

$30.

This is 2 in a row for me.

First Rachel, then Think Tank. Although I think think Think Tank would be better as a TV show.

Come on Bedlam!...

Thanks!!!
I'm truly happy that this book may finally see some action. Others i believe in like Hoax Hunters, I amassed a huge hoard with each issue. I haven't sold one issue from the series, yet. I think once it comes back in August then we'll see. Another lotto comic play is Finding Gossamyr that has Disney movie written all over it.

Happy Hunting!!!!

Operation spank tank is under way.

I sold issues #1-4 when I thought the series wouldn't get extended but manage to pick up issues 2#, 2x #3, #4 #5a #5b, #6, #7 and the dossier for cover or less.

Issue #1 may be a challenge to get for cover. Anyone know of there is a difference between the #1 bagus variant and virgin variant (1:10)? Can't tell if its two names for the same book or slight difference...

Bagus is the Virgin Variant. It wasn't a 1:10 or anything of that sort. The Bagus Variant was an artist's rendition for a TV show for Think Tank that Matt Hawkins pitched two years before he ever made the comic. He didn't have any luck with it as a pitched TV show, so he wrote the comic series. In a bit of a scramble, Top Cow made 500 of the Bagus Virgin Variant for I think the 2012 San Diego Comic Con to get the ball rolling. Think Tank #1 had a print run of I believe just over 7,000, and the second print for #1 had a print run of 1,500. This is info I got from Matt Hawkins, so I'm not sure if it's very reliable

Jason you are Gold! With info and OA like your haul you will go far!

Just picked up the Bagus/Virgin Variant for 15/$23 which is the cheapest I could find

Doubt I will find many of the 2nd prints but all I need now is #1 first print and I have a full set.

Happy hunting folks, I love the rush and Russian Roulette feel of modern comics.

Ha ha, thanks Scottie. If the movie is confirmed and everything Think Tank goes haywire, I might be inclined to sell Page #1 if I can sell it for what I paid for all three pages. I never want to sell Page #6, that is far more important to me than Page #1 since it is the first David Loren. I still think Mirra Sway will play a big role in the series (hopefully she's pregnant ), so I want to hold onto that page as well. I would still much rather Think Tank be a show as opposed to a movie. I think the first 4 issue Arch could be stretched into eight hour-long episodes, and the second arch maybe 10-12 episodes. I could see it being done in 2-2.5 hours as a movie, but it would be better served as a show IMO.
