Cool Texans81's running comic PC thread

Decided to just start a thread and update it here and there as I get new books in. Got my very first one in today so here it is!

Uncanny X-Men #266 CGC 9.8 (1st appearance of Gambit in X-Men title)

mainly looking for stuff from some of my favorite cartoons as a kid. X-Men, Batman, G.I. Joe, TMNT, maybe some Transformers and probably my favorite comic character, the Punisher. I wouldn't mind dabbling in other stuff as well but those are my main interests getting started. Looking for CGC high graded copies to just have and put away

You probably couldn't have started better. I hope it isn't all downhill from here hah.

What are your main titles of interest? I see you in the silver threads a lot, so I'm guessing just putting your money in something else?

yeah just spreading out into other stuff a bit though I will still be mostly into silver

main titles of interest would be X-Men...there's a couple other books from there I've got on my hit list. My favorite comic character out of all of them has got to be Punisher so I'll be looking to add something from there as well.

I have a thread on here somewhere talking about stuff I was looking to eventually pick up. there's a few I'm after and I'm sure more will come up as I think about it

Hey buddy! Congrats on this awesome pick-up! Now we need you get into grading and hoping for some 9.9s and 10s.

I am glad that you finally realized where the true action is...the CBJ section of BO!

I always share this whenever anyone says X-Men. Total Comic Mayhem: Uncanny X-Men Key Issues List Part One

But most on here would agree that #129 is a must buy right now.

That is a great key issue to pick up, especially already graded at 9.8..

X-Men has SO many cool books, great series to collect. I always liked Punisher too and you can pick up his series for relatively cheap. Of course as a Punisher fan you need a ASM 129 which isn't so cheap!

yeah I'd love to get an ASM 129...something to shoot for eventually

well here's my most recent pickup, just came in the mail today. perhaps not quite as exciting as the first one but I still like it!

Uncanny X-Men #158 CGC 9.8 (1st appearance of Rogue in an X-Men title)

thanks as always for the look!

well I was trying to get my images loaded up from flickr because I'm sick and tired of how freakin buggy Photobucket is since they switched to this new layout but they don't seem to be working :P

anyway...here's my newest pickup! another 1st appearance of the X-Men characters I really liked as a kid...

Uncanny X-Men #244 CGC SS 9.8 (1st appearance of Jubilee) signed by Chris Claremont

I promise I'll try and start getting something other than X-Men! lol

thanks for the look!

Are u just picking up Xmen titles or Xmen characters?

If it's the latter, I have a couple suggestions.
X-Factor 24. 1st Arch-Angel.
New Mutant Annual 2. 1st Psylocke
Giant Size Fantastic Four 4. 1st Jamie Maddox (The Multiple Man)
Spider Woman 37. 1st Siryn

Just to keep it as couples.

no that's just what I got started with but in the past week or so I've picked up another 3 books for my PC, none of which are X-Men so I'll be spreading my wings a bit thanks for the suggestions!

thanks! I think it'd be cool if I get a chance later to crack that out and have it signed by Marc Silvestri too as he along with Mr. Claremont were the co-creators of Jubilee so it'd be sweet to have them both on there
