Default Hello...

I've been posting a bit here and I thought I'd introduce myself. I've been collecting comics for 30 years. About five years ago I started dealing comics. I sell comics to support my addiction, my main passions are golden age sci-fi and horror and black and white horror comic magazines. I do enjoy reading well written comics and I think there are quite a few enjoyable modern books out now. The past couple years, I've set up a booth at a few mid sized (40,000-55,000 people) cons, and I sell through other venues the rest of the year. I just picked up a collection of around 30,000 mostly bronze and copper books, and I'm going through them now. I'm looking to expand next year and do a couple more shows but I work a day job full time and it really interferes with my comic lifestyle. I am a CGC authorized dealer and SS facilitator. I've given presentations at a couple major cons on the history of horror comics and the influence of the horror comic magazines on the genre. I'm a Taurus, and I like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain. If you are ever in Phoenix, and want to discuss comics, let me know.

Welcome to the Junkies forum!

Wow, sounds like you are going to have some valuable insight into our hobby and definitely looking forward to that. What moderns are you collecting/reading and do you have any recommendations for horror comics?

Will you be setting up at the Amazing AZ con?

Welcome!
I've started taking some interest in horror comics myself, but more bronze age type books (House of Mystery, House of Secrets, EErie).

Let us know if you plan on selling any of that collection here (or anywhere else online for that matter).

Welcome to the boards! I am a taurus as well, but my preferred drink is whiskey. I do enjoy the rain even though we rarely get it in L.A.
