I have been on those boards and in general they are not the ones buying at peak either and they are buying graded in general and that is a different market that has it's own "scarcity" real or imagined issues to it.

Let's face it when was the last time anyone posted on this or CGC's board that they just paid $1500 for Walking Dead #1 or paid $1000 for Chew #1 at it's peak?

Lurkers here that just come for info to speculate on get what they get IMO and if they are the ones stuck holding the bag then I don't have any tears to shed for them.

How much does this end up going for?
I cannot believe this only went for what it did. I thought it would have blown up given the timing of it. Had I known it wouldn't I would have watched it a little closer.

According to Terry Hoknes of investcomics.com, below are the print run numbers for sandman.
print run for sandman #1 ~103,500
print run for sandman #8 ~ 79,500

Reasonable?

For the time period, yeah it does. Does he say where he found those numbers? I know the info exists, just not digitally.

Fallen? Which grade are you looking at? Or are you looking at raws?

I was looking at both raw and 9.8.

I see listing now that you can buy a 9.8 for less than $300.

Raws NM can be purchased for under $100.

On ebay anyone watching the lot of 2 CGC 9.8 Sandman #1's? Auction was ended early at around 140 bucks apiece, I wonder if it is going to be relisted or it sold offline.
