Agreed its really a cool book. Highly done and I think will be a sleeper with that ridiculously low print run.

I like the Fact that whoever does it , works a Regular Job just like you and me you can tell by the art and storytelling that his soul goes into the book

Harley Quinn #1 was a lot of fun, I enjoyed it. East of West #8 was depressing. Reminds me of what could easily happen in our country in our lifetime.

Everyone at the comic shop (customers/workers) said the new Harley sucked, so passed on it. Loving Black Science tho!!

just got done reading my first new pickup this week...

A Voice in the Dark #2

Man these books are dark! But not overly so which is a plus. I really liked the first one and was curious to see where it was going to go and this one certainly didn't disappoint! If you haven't had a chance to read these yet I definitely recommend them. When a lot of us read stuff like Avengers and Spiderman and X-Men and Superman and so forth it's interesting to read something like this that has the virtue of being real and kind of giving you a unique perspective on some of the messed up crap that some people in this world have to deal with and go through. awesome read and already wanting the next one!

Texans81's rating:

ok, decided to read one more tonight and I'll get to the rest later this week.

Uncanny Avengers #15

So for those who have read this/are reading this you know that issue #14 had some pretty major events in it. Well this one pretty much picked up right where that left off and definitely felt like a builder issue. And by that I mean that the issue itself didn't have anything earth shattering going on in it (although there is one pretty significant thing that happens directly related to the events at the end of #14) but it does certainly feel like it might be leading UP to something pretty earth shattering (perhaps literally) and it does a good job of kind of building that anticipation and making you want to go out and grab #16 and figure out how the hell they are going to get themselves outta this mess. I'm definitely looking forward to it!

Did anyone else notice Metro-Lobo beating up on Supergirl today? I almost picked it up, great art except for Metro-lobo.. I just can't get into the new look.

saga 17 - Absolutely love this series. Another stand out issue with a new character introduced in the shape of The Brand (another freelancer).
A Quite a bit happens in this issue, but as want this to be spoiler free won't give anything away but there is a few shockers.
Gorgeous art as ever by Fiona Staples.

East of West 8 - Another superb issue of my other favourite series. As always lovely art by Dragotta & excellent writing from Hickman.

On another note starting to see a little price rise on issue 1 on ebay UK. It had been sitting at around £5 for ages now & cheapest I now seeing is £11. Can see this rising more as time goes by

Got more to read just case of finding the time (& clearing some of my reading pile which appears to be getting out of hand again!!!)

I'm stuck on my ship for the next few days so I'll be late picking up my readers this week. This is the first week since DC 3D month that I am excited about getting back to the LCS.

I'm all over A Voice in The Dark #2 and will buy a few copies for some other people on my ship.

Also, EoW #8 is high on my read list. This arc has been great already and I 'm excited for the TPB for volume 2 in Feb.

I think EOW is book of the year. Phenomenal writing and art, it will stand the test of time.
