According to comichron numbers the print run of the 1:5 Ross Variant of #1 has roughly 3200 copies.

I really hope this takes off. God knows the modern comics need a stimulant like this to get back to previous levels. There have been far too many false starts like the Sixth Gun incident that cause many speculators to take money away from moderns.

Agreed. I'm not a speculator, but a good, solid show with legs would be awesome. I know WD, GoT have been great, but who knows how long the current crop will hold up, like Being Human or Revolution, etc etc.

Indy, how much was the slot for the Strain grading order? I missed the price

its too bad that when he clinks those together they make a rather unsatisfying thud sound as opposed to the nice like clink he was hoping to hear. turns out someone had extracted all of the latinum and there was nothing in those bars but "worthless gold."

on a scale of 1-10 how sad is it that I can recall that whole scene in my head just based on one damn picture?

somewhere around 38 maybe?

*edit* even managed to find the scene, hahaha

I thought either this or another episode when he smacked the bars together it turned to dust. The show definitely had its moments. haha

you're talking one in the same my friend. he smacks them together and they make a thud, then he smacks them together again and they crumble to dust.

Any opinions on how much the fact that this was a book first will have on secondary market value? I've grabbed a handful, so hopefully not much.

Good question, which I don't have an answer for, but sales are exploding right now. Here a #1 and #1 variant sold for $120 yesterday RAW!

You can still pick up #1 for $20 and the Variant for $50ish.. If you need to know where, PM me.

Thank god I read your post when I did last night Indy, couldn't believe there was a Variant grading spot still available at $125. You do a lot of quality things for us boardies, you could have kept that graded it and made a lot more money than you did. Respect

Del Toro wanted this on tv first. He pitched it and nobody took a bite. Then came the book and the comic book is based on the book. Now the tv show is about all 3 mediums. All these things are related to each other.

I think this will be a large whale of a hit for FX. Mainly because its Del Toro and second finally a serious vampire show will kill the years we've all suffered with the twilight junk. Plus its got Sean Astin.
