Was hoping for a Manga style you know like how the Comics were drawn, so Pixar style to me is not what I was expecting.

not sure I liked that at all....I don't think this will appeal to many people at all....feels very "Invincibles" to me.

Wow, I'm surprised by the negative reactions. My wife and I were both cracking up throughout the whole trailer and now she wants to read the comics. I think it looks awesome!

I don't think that's enough to totally judge the movie, yet...it was basically a little animated short, and not a full movie preview.

I thought that the animation was well done. Looks like fun in an Incredibles sort of way.

As far as I can tell from this short trailer you're right, they aren't. But the trailer was enough to make my wife want to read them and to get me excited for the direction they are taking. Plus, I trust Disney and Marvel to make a quality movie.

If it is even close to how the Invincibles was, then it will be good. To quote someone I cant remember, "Invincibles was the best Fantastic Four movie ever made."

I really thought they were going to do their own anime at Disney. This would have been the perfect property, they love studio Ghiblie films and distribute them in the US, just seems odd not to take advantage of something as obvious as this

Never read the comics but this movie looks pretty good to me.

If they had made an anime film I don't think it would do near as well at the box office as a Pixar type movie will. I would tend to think, in general, adults taking their kids to movies would be more likely to go see an animated film like this rather than a "cartoon".

I just like more unique offerings and the Pixar style has been done to death now with multiple studios doing it. I thought it gave this film a chance to be different but everything is so damned cutesy

Can't say I disagree with that. It's just a safe business decision to go with a proven formula. The Pixar phase will pass sometime and we'll move on to something else.

For what it's worth, I like anime and if I had read the comics I'd probably be pretty bummed too. I would just think a majority of parents who aren't into comics/anime would rather see the Pixar type movies (I could be wrong, just a hunch).

Showed that trailer to my son. It looks like we will be going to see that movie based upon his reaction.

Watched this with the kids. They loved it. Agree with the comments on the "Disney" style being more appealing to a larger audience than the traditional anime style. Disney has their reputation to keep their style and image in all of their films.

Dunno if this will do much for the comic book though.
