Default Hello everybody !

Hi there, long time reader, first time poster.

I usually post on the CGC boards and have had discussions with many of you there. I've been following the press releases pertaining to the new grading company, CBCS and I'm pretty pumped about what they say they have to offer. Do any of you guys mess with graded books and if so, do you think the second company will benefit us ?

Welcome bud.

Yes I believe the new grading company is a must need, competition is always great for companies to better themselves.

thanks for the welcome. I agree that the competition should help. I've always been leary of submitting my own books because I don't do 50 or more at a time. CBCS lets you prescreen without a minimum. That got me pretty excited.

As long as they are consistent with their results in not only grading but time frame, I think the competition will only mean good things for the hobby.

I will see how the new biz unfolds before jumping in, but it's always nice to see new things like this in the hobby.

Hm, after what went down on the cgc boards I suspect there will be some crossover from there to here

What's up. Welcome to the boards.
Competition, in this case, is a very good thing. Hopefully it will affect pricing, turnaround times, etc.
I am excited to see this new grading company rolling out. I hope it does well.

Haha ! I'm betting on the same thing. I can understand that they don't want competition on their boards on one hand but on the other, I think they are inadvertantly causing people to take the discussion elsewhere. I like CGC and nobody has treated poorly over there. I was really just interested in discussing this topic and I always read this site anyway so voila. Thanks for letting me be part of the junkies.

I love the prescreening idea. I think it will make CGC rethink some of its policies.

Thanks for the link! CBCS sounds like the real deal. I'm going to make the drive out to St. Pete this August and check them out.
