Default Batman V Superman Impressions

Some people have seen it, and they're saying some good things about this film.

THE BIG WINNER?

My buddy saw an early screening and thought it was a mixed bag . Good movie but uneven and also said once Wonder Woman show up you forget that the other 2 are even there

Batman could never beat Superman so what's the point?

Really...? Pretty sure comic book history tells a different story.

Anyone can be beaten on any given day.

Face to face stripped down to their super underoos, Superman could rip Batmans head off. But thats no fun

Don't even want to know.
I like to judge for myself.

I have very little interest in this movie, I will stick to DC television and animation.

I didn't enjoy Man of Steel, and have quite low expectations for this one. I've avoided the trailers but have seen screenshots posted on facebook

It really is a pretty stupid premise.

I never liked the idea of them fighting, even when Frank Miller did it in the 80s with The Dark Knight.

Superman could just continually use his super breath to keep Batman and his krypton suit at bay.

Plus Batman's suit cannot stop inertia. One high velocity slam into the ground or brick wall and Wayne's insides would be liquid

I hope it's good just because I think Marvel could use a bit of competition and I love to see online haters eat crow. All the people who cried about Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot being cast better get their spoons ready. I've heard nothing but great things about both of them.

I look forward to this movie!

When I heard Gadot was cast for Wonder Woman, I was like, "Who?" I still don't know too much about her but when I saw the trailer, I was sold (at least on WW).

I've been quietly buying up WW issues - this is going to explode for WW as a platform for the future.

The issue is what issues to buy? FA is not going to happen as a spec book so is it AH covers? Reboot 1's etc. To me her comic book history is such a mix bag of quality that I can't recommend any books right now.

I've been picking up sets of Hughes cover run the last couple months. Also picked up one or two of George perez's #1 cover when I see it cheap. Definitely looking forward to my gal had or cover slabbed from Indy too.

These are the things I tell my friends and they just ignore it. Think about it reasonably you've got a guy who can fly, in space. He could fly up into the atmosphere then heat vision through batman's head "Game over". I mean sure Batman could invite him as a friend and when he gets there shake his hand with a kryptonite laced suit but that would be pretty lame to win in such a dirty, underhanded way.

Merely stating it's essentially comic fact is all. Don't care to argue the merit of it.

Thinking that pre-ordering that signed art book was the right move. If this movie does well, that book will be worth a mint.

The only thing that can save this movie is Krypto, Detective Chimp, and Bat-Mite

I read a review and I wondered why do people just go solely off reviews. Everyone is not going to think the same. Sure read the review just to get a POV, a different perspective but damn if you want to see the movie go see it and make up your own mind is what I say. I'm going to see it regardless of what is said. I loved MoS which it seems I'm in the minority on that but that's all good. I hope this movie is good. I love the characters and always want to see superhero movies do well.

I don't pay any attention to reviews (I sat through Fantastic Four regardless of what people said)

But the problem I see is its not just 'critics' that saying its bad. Theres mixed reviews from general movie goers.

Way I see it is that this movie can not/should not be mediocre. This movie SHOULD be no less than a home run.

This is supposed to be the movie that launches the DC Cinematic Universe and their plans for the next how many years?

WB is going to have to do some re-thinking if they don't have a blockbuster with their 3 franchise characters
