I was wondering everyone's thoughts about making this 19 spots instead where Spot #1 gets base/ parallel. Instead of someone getting not much value for the base only.

I agree with Hester if it's not too late. I would pay a few extra bucks to shrink this by one spot to have base/parallel as one spot.

would it make any sense to keep two slots for base, but instead of splitting it up base vs parallel make it first half of case vs last? then each would end up with what, 27 base and 18 parallel?

Making one slot for base and parallels is an interesting idea. I would be willing to participate whether or not the group decides to go with 19 or 20 slots. I'll make it even easier for the group - sign me up for two spots and if the majority decide they want to go with 19 spots, I'll give up one.
