I would think the extra hits would be put aside and randomized after the break. I don't think it would make sense to reassign box toppers since they've already been assigned and are not changing at all, only an extra hit per six packs it appears.

Just because someone in the forum saw it happen, what happens if a box has multiple box toppers? All to that slot holder or are those "extra hits"?
Wouldn't normally bring up something so far fetched but . . . multiple box topper thread.

I would think it would be like any other GB on here...extra hits in a box would be set aside and randomized at the end of the break. THis would keep box toppers in order. If you have 5 slots, you have 5 chances. If you have 10 slots, then you have 10 chances.

After seeing a few breaks and the checklists, the two prospect and rookie slots will make a killing on this break especially on the parallels.

Sorry if this has already been said but if there is a plate hit / dual auto hit or both should there just be a shift for the box as to not screw with the topper slots which have already been assigned. So if the box has either or both hits the list shifts up only for that specific box and whatever is left at the end of the box is considered extra and randomized. I'm sure we can come up with a simple solution to this by Fri./Sat.

Ok, there are two ways to do this:
1) Packs were advertised with 3 "hits" per pack. So, any hits after the 3rd, in each pack, are set aside and randomly distributed. 2) Distribute each hit in the order they are pulled. Once we get to #18 for that box whatever hits are left in the box are set aside and randomly distributed. Like everyone has mentioned - box topper slots and the base/rookie slots will not be reassigned. I don't think it would be fair to skip past these slots either. So, you guys let me know - 1 or 2. As stated the base/rookie slots will be HUGE winners.

Tai - I think this is the case. The "extra" hits in each box will likely be put into a separate pile and the boxes will be allocated as planned. The moderator should then randomize the paid slots and give the extra hits to those that win the draw.
kelleys1 - I got lucky and hit the Prospect (and parallel) draw. Although I'm really excited to see who I get, the base (non-AU) prospect list isn't as solid as it was in '04-'07. That said, a gold parallel Porcello would change my mind in a hurry. |

Well, I think we need something to make it official and I feel these are probably the two easiest ways to handle it.

Not sure off the top of my head. But I think with the 08 Sterling FB break that I ran, the extra cards in each box were randomized between the slot holders in that specific box. Might want to give that a thought. Thinking about it more, I'm not sure if it was the Sterling break or one of the others...but I think the same premise would work here.

Didn't say it was a perfect way to do it. But it was assuming that they wouldn't short any hits. For the most part with higher end products like this, they don't short things. But there is the chance of it happening.

I would go with #2...also for those that have busted this already, where did the world classics patch card fall? Did it replace another hit in that pack/box?
