I believe a plate would be a hit, but the only plates I've ever pulled in Sterling have been box toppers. Anyone else pull anything different than that?

Yes, plates would be hits. Any non-auto parallels would be part of the base slots.

Hit slots are game used/auto/plates.

By the way, thanks guys for cleaning up the slot list!!

I crack a case or two of this product per year and I think you're right - the only plates have been box toppers (I still feel a little bad for selling a Kyle Drabek AU plate for almost $400 in '06). However, with the box toppers being rookie variations this year, I'm guessing they'll move the plates into the packs.

Of course, I want any non-AU and non-GU cards to be in the rookie or prospect group Realistically, I'm assuming the rookie and prospect groups will get the non-AU/GU base cards and refractors... anything else is gravy.

If the plates or 1/1s are hits, and the card in question is a non-AU/GU, that means there will be additional hits for the break. What happens to them? Not campaigning one way or another, but just want to know what has been done here in the past. Thanks!

Anything extra will be randomly assigned to current slotholders.

Most likely I will ask you guys for random numbers 1-154 to cover the extra hits. Then I will randomize the slots again and whomever corresponds with the numbers chosen get the extra hits.

Also, if the packs are laid out like last year, I have assembled a list of what you're most likely to pull for your slot position. If you'd like to see the list, PM me and I'll get you the list.. I don't want to post it again and take up so much screen real estate.

There is already an auto printing plate of Beckham on Ebay...and go figure, it is located in Taiwan.

Yeah, go figure that one. I'll get in touch with Chris tomorrow and find out when I can expect to receive the case, then go from there.

Sweet. Austin, TX looks like it's in the 2 day range, so maybe Wednesday you'll have them.

Well, I just saw that UPS is not delivering ground packages on Wednesday, bummer.

Looks like Friday boys.

I saw that and if each box has a six card pack like he had in his break (pack 4) then my list of what your slot might pull is now invalid since I was counting on them all being 5 card packs..

Guess it depends on how we do the break. I thought we were assigning the first two autos to slot holders, the first relic to slot holder and then any extra hits were being set aside to be randomly assigned at the end of the break.

Guess that brings up another question. Will those with more slots have a better chance at getting the extra hits or do we all have the same chance? Also, are extra hits random amongst us all or just those with slots in that particular box?

Gentlemen, any thoughts?

I'd say we just follow the order that the hits came out and anything extra at the end will be randomly assigned.

My thinking was on the same page as yours, trouts. I was thinking we just were going to go through the hits in the order of the slots (regardless of how many per pack). Then anything at the end that is extra will get randomly assigned.

With this line of thinking, will the Box Toppers and Prospect/RC lots be re-assigned according to a list that includes additional hits per box (meaning everyone will likely move down the list a space or two per box, when there's a plate or dual AU in place of a prospect/rookie) or will the "extra" hits per box be tossed into a new pile?

Our host has commented on this a few times in the thread but I don't know exactly what he was planning on doing. (posts 148, 156, 157, 205)

It does seem easiest to assign hits to slots as they are pulled and then once every slot has a hit randomize the rest of the hits (last two or three packs). Still some question if we should randomize the original list from the first post or make a new list where every slot owner is only represented once.

Shouldn't box topper and rookie/prospect slots stay the same since at least one such slot has already been traded?
