I am thinking of doing some Group Case Breaks, but I've never done one before. I figured I'd start with something that has a lot of hits and not much sorting.
2011 Topps Marquee Baseball came to mind. The sell sheet states 4 hits per box: - On-Card Autograph Card - Autograph Multi-Relic Card - Jumbo Relic Card - Quad Relic Card 12 boxes per Master case with 2 case hits replacing one of the 4 hits in a box. Looks pretty nice. So if I'm calculating this correctly, there are 48 hits total plus base. Not sure how to divide up the base. I'm thinking team sets, but I'm not sure what to do with the legends since some played for multiple teams or teams that are no longer around. That adds 30+ slots. $2050 per master case 78+ slots --------------------- Approximately $26.29 + Shipping/Handling/Fees per slot. Let's just hypothetically say $30 per slot. Being my first group break, your suggestions or comments are welcome. Also, this is not set in stone. I want to get your feedback and see if there is any interest in this product before making a final decision. So who's in?

You'd probably be better off dividing the base/parallel slots by boxes.
1. Base slot boxes 1-6 2. Base slot boxes 7-12 3. Parallel slot boxes 1-6 4. Parallel slot boxes 7-12 Or you could do 8 slots: base/parallel boxes 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12. Of course slot prices will increase but there would be no dispute as to which player belongs to what teams. I'm in for 1 if this generates interest.

Trying to figure out how slots would be so much cheaper on this break than they are on the current break in the active section.
I would be down for 2 slots. Edit: nvm I see with the team slots now. I would stick To the base slots like mr mike has

My goal is to make this break worthwhile for everyone. I know it's unavoidable to get a bad draft pick and end up with junk, but when you keep cost down and the hits reasonable, you will at least come away with something. At least the base cards are on 48pt stock and the parallels start at Blue out of 299. Last option is to do 1 slot = 2 boxes of base/parallels. That adds $4 per slot.

I count 10 slots filled, need another 50. No one else interested in Marquee break? I think this product looks amazing. Keep in mind there are 48 hits. 2 of which are case hits. 24 Autos, 24 Quad/Jumbo Relics. On top of that, the base/parallels look pretty awesome too.

Okay, I'm going to clean up the break details and resubmit this. But I'm assuming everyone is okay with how the base/parallels are broken up (1 Slot = 1 box of base/parallels).
I'll have something up later tonight.
