The slot you pick does not determine the order you will draft. Once the break is paid in full, a mod from Blowout will randomize the picks 3 times. This will determine the draft order. You will receive a NEW number and this is your place in the hit draft. Then, before the draft actually takes place, you can request trades with people. This is usually the fun part. Let's say you aren't that crazy about having a high draft spot and you are going for quantity over quality, you can trade your early pick for several late picks. Also, some people that are not happy with their draft slot may try to get out of the break by selling their slot to someone that didn't originally sign up for the break. There are many possibilities when trading. The only requirement for a trade is, the person initiating the trade must post it on this thread and the person finalizing the trade must confirm the post.

I've seen most of you on other breaks, so I'm sure you are familiar with all of this. If you are new to group breaks, feel free to PM me with questions and I'll try to answer them in this thread for all to see. Even if you aren't new, but don't understand something, let me know. I don't want any surprises to surface after the fact. Better to get them out now before people start paying.

I made a facebook page and twitter account for this and future breaks. I'm not much of a social media junkie, but I'll do my best to keep people posted.

I do have 2011 Bowman Platinum coming in this week, so I may do a test run of a live video break with facebook and twitter updates. We'll see. This is all so new to me. I think Houdini set the bar too high.

Sent the funds. I just only left off "Break" on the subject line. I've heard that paypal could catch you for hosting group breaks if you put the word break on the subject line or in the message. I just left off the word break as a precaution.

So what to do in the meantime. Since we have 1 month to wait. I have 3 cases of Bowman Platinum arriving sometime this week. I'm also open to doing a current break. I'd like to get some practice in. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I don't think they were happy about me taking payment before it got moved. It was an honest mistake. Next time, I'll know to check that it was actually moved, instead of relying on receiving confirmation from the MODs. But we are good now.

Who wasn't happy?

Once you got the approval from Blowout where they said "moving to active" and the order #, you were good to go.

It wasn't physically moved, yeah, but that was just an honest oversight by BO. BO can see that you clearly waited for approval.

EDIT: After thinking about it, I guess they could wish you had verified the move like you said... fortunately it is clear that you waited until their message.

I can just see myself doing EXACTLY what you did and I am on my 8th break.

I do have a bunch of different accounts, but I'm not a huge social media guy. I know the gist of everything, but not all the little gadgets each service has to offer.

One point of hesitation for me is, I'm considering changing my "blog" name to something different. Most of my card stuff, I go by Sportscardfanatic. I did that early on when I knew nothing about the hobby. Now that I've got my feet wet, I'm not 100% sold on the name.

But I could use all the help you can provide me. I spent most of this morning reviving my facebook page. I also created another twitter account.
