Default 3 Case 2007 Razor Poker Group Break/Buy

Okay guys,

A few of us have come up with an interesting idea for the Razor Poker product. Several of us want to buy 4 cases, (OR MORE), get a multiple case discount, get a better shot at short prints and Presidential cuts, list absolutely everything, and see if we can make a good to great return while hopefully limiting our losses.

Here's our idea:

We will sell 15 "shares" in this buy-in for $300 each. This will cover the cost of 6 cases and limit the number of people involved to maximize profits.

One of us will break the product, (possibly video tape the break), list and ship every single card.

We will net out shipping supplies and fees, and divide up the profits equally among the shares.

This needs to be decided on by Tuesday night to take advantage of the case price now because some of us feel the price may go up in a few days.

Who has questions, and who's in???

CaptainBOHICA - 1 share paid
mwheeler27 - 2 shares paid
bradolson - 1 share paid
iam4car3 - 3 shares paid
coaltowncards - 1 share paid

otmack2o - 1 share paid
jcmouth - 1 share paid
TimC - 2 share paid
danimal - 1 share paid
pac213up - 1 share paid
brianennis - 1 share paid

15 shares taken, 0 remaining. NOTE: We are now sold out on 6 cases!

My Paypal id is: mwheeler@mail.holton.k12.ks.us

I would like payment by tomorrow morning, Wednesday, October 16th. Let me know if you'd rather mail me a check/cashier's check or money order. I want to get these cases ordered tomorrow, and hopefully receive them by the end of the week.

for more information, see the razor poker discussion, see this thread or this thread to see the original discussion of the profit sharing idea

anyways, im in for 1 share... $300 bucks

i think this is a great idea when it comes to risk vs reward potential.... for whoever would do the listing, i would contribute and do all the listing templates if need be.

edit: also - this way is much MUCH MUCH better than doing a case on your own and getting the shaft. trust me at least this way you keep the losses minimal (compared to what you could lose doing a break on your own) and the potential for profit could make it worth it for you

I'm in for at least one share as well. Will buy 2 or 3 if necessary to make sure this works.

You're in. Thanks!

You know, I'd take 2 or 3 also, but wanted to give others the chance first. If we could do more than 3 cases, that would be great. I wonder if we shouldn't try for more? If you did 3, I did 3, and the other 3 already spoken for, that's already more than 3 cases, and the day has just begun.

Let's discuss this more as the day progresses. I have sent an email to Chris to check on the price and availability of these cases.

There are shares left still. I think a good idea would be to sell as many shares as people want, and at the end of the day, if we have a partial case left over, I will buy the remaining share in order to get that extra case.

Chris is holding 4 cases for me until tomorrow right now, so we can get at least 4 cases, and that's only 10 to 11 shares total for 4 cases. Let's try and hit that Lincoln Presidential cut!

What do you guys think? otmack2o, do you want a share?

Default Update...

Okay everyone,

Chris has given us a good price on up to 6 cases. Here's what I'd like to do:

Let's sell 15 shares at $300 each. This will cover the cost of the cases given a multiple case discount. When all is said and done, the shipping supplies and fees and Ebay fees will be taken off the top from sales, and all remaining monies will be divided up equally among the 15 shares.

This is a GREAT shot at hitting something good. I think the potential for a good to great return is high, and at the very least, everyone's losses should be very minimal if there is a loss at all.

I know that I have interest in 10 shares already, but all have not been confirmed. I will update the first page in this thread with remaining shares and shares sold. Currently, we are at 3 cases, but I will add a new case, (up to a total of 6), as shares are sold.

Anyone else want in? This could be the start of a new group opportunity.

Well, I'm crazy and went for the master case of GG. If I come out of that alive and there are still slots left I'll take a shot with one.

swerve,

Since this product is already live, there is a limited window. I actually need commitments today and payment tomorrow. We would do the break immediately upon delivery of the cases. Them immediately list everything, and hopefully, reap a great return within 2 weeks.

This is something that could possibly be put on a credit card paying me through Paypal, and you get something back before you have to pay the bill. Just a thought.

Yes. As quick as we can get them...break, list, ship, payout on shares.

Edit: I wonder if payout could be in the form of a "refund" via paypal up to what each person paid, then the balance sent to each? Does anyone know what the time frame is for giving a refund. If we could do this, that would also save on fees. Is my thinking correct?

i think you are right on mitigating the fees if you use the refund option... my only concern for you, is if paypal would flag that in any way... but i dont know if they would. but if its a chance to screw paypal out of fees.. IM ALL FOR IT lol

I want to say that you can give a refund whenever you want. Because if you were filing a paypal claim it could take 20 days. Does that sound right?

Say.....we did not recieve our product as promised.....lol

Just say it was for a presale and then the pirces could not longer be honored so refunds had to be issued.

Exactly. I've given mass refunds for things in the past with no problems.

otmack2o, I have you down for one share.

hockeyjunkie, we are hoping for a profit, or we wouldn't do it, but you never know.

We are looking at it in this way: Either we will make a good to great profit, (great would be from hitting one of the big Presidential cuts...a Lincoln cut has sold before around $20K!), or we will minimize losses doing several cases as apposed to an individual paying full price for one case and trying to make money. We hope to hit one or 2 very good cases.

If it would make you feel better, I should put it this way...You will definitely be getting money back after this is through. What we buy will definitely have value, and we will be selling everything. What your return will be, who knows. Maybe you will only get back $200 of your $300, but maybe you get back at least double your "investment". I don't think anyone will lose more than $100 on this, and honestly, I don't think they will lose at all, but I cannot guarantee that.

Does this make sense?

junkie if it makes you feel better, i initially lost 400, almost 500 from doing my own case... i ended up getting lucky and only losing about 50 bucks overall because i was able to pick up a ssp early and low, and flip it for big bucks...

and everything wheeler said is right... we all know nothing is guaranteed when it comes to cracking cases. we've all been there and know the risk... this way just minimizes the risk lol
