Is this a Baseball only idea? I dont do much in the baseball side of the hobby, but it would make since to me, if the idea is to buy such a large amount and corner the market, a limited product would be best.

My suggestions are only from football, since i am comfortable in that side of the hobby. Obviously NT and Exquisite are to much of a risk to do this with. They higher prices, and the soft sell of highend cards, I dont think it would be as profitable as something else.

What about 07 Leaf Limited? You would not only have the Rookies, and a chance at some nice mid-high range auto and jerseys, but all the base cards are numbered. If you have 100 or more of each base player, that right there would be cornering the market by pure numbers. I am not familiar, but KMD is there a baseball product that we can look into to do this with?

I am on board, just thought a numbered product would gives us the "numbers" as proof of how much of the market would be in our hands.

I second that. 08 Draft is a heck of a product.

Problem is getting mass quantity. Will be easier to get an upcoming product. Also, the older products, while nice (especially 07 Leaf Limited) don't sell as well.

I like this concept, but I'd like to be involved in person. I doubt I can make a weekend trip to the eastcoast. I hope this works out and maybe some of us Midwest or Mountain MB members could replicate this and give it a try.

I am in for this. I would have to say the Bowman D&P or Chrome are great! Also maybe the Allen and Ginters? I know there is a lot of coin to be made there also. Baseball is the only way to go with this. I also would have to say a new product and try to do it as quickly as possible.

Here is another idea. Since were are talking 100+ of cases to crack, maybe we should do multiple locations? This would allow us to get cards sorted and listed quicker. By multiple locations I only me 2 or 3 total.

Sounds like a fun idea. Just a few questions:

With all the fees ( initial $200 PP payments, Auction fees, buyers PP and S&H ) involved thousands I would say, how will that work.

Would you have to open a private PP and Ebay account?

Would PP get IRS involved with someone receiving $60000.00 in a few days then say $120000.00 within the next month?

I would think it would have to be a system where everyone could check on the progress of $$$.

It is a project I would most likely join but, boy would hate to run it.

We could always send in Checks & or Money Orders to keep PayPal Fees at a minimum. And after all sales are done the shareholders can recieve checks or money orders as well.

Those are great questions. I think when it came down to payment time, maybe something could be made with BO that all payments made to them isntead of sending them to an individuals PayPal. Like I suggested earlier, if we had a couple locations to rip that would allow quicker listing and possibly mutliple listers. Or if one place did all the opening and had a few people, they could all split the listings. That would really help.
