Bump, what do we think of 2008-09 The Cup. With UD losing Basketball, I think they'll crank it up on this.

What do you think the cost would run? Could be pretty risky for charge backs seeing how alot of the hockey sales are out of the US. I am not knocking it down but, would want more details please.

The Cup is a nice product but it breaks too fast. A&G would keep us busy longer.

Cup seems like a scary investment to me. Do you really think we could make money with this?

No, not monthly, its been talked about for years.

I think the Cup is a risk, but a good one. If we pooled $60K that's 40 cases, there's going to be some big $ stuff coming out of 40 cases and the complete sets would go for a good amount too I would bet.

I think Bowman Chrome is the sure way to go if the checklist is good, but that will be a ton of work and I don't know if I'm up to it.

This is my math on the Cup:

40 Case Hits average $600 per, $24000
240 Rookie patches average $50 per, $12000

That means the remainder only has to be worth $24000, and figure we hit a few mega cards that alone could put us over the top.

I think the cup would be a good idea!! But we would have to hit some really big hits!! We want the best return with the least amount of work lol!! Let do something!!

Thanks

I'm all up for The Cup. Hockey is not my strongest point, however I know who the big names are. I have no clue about the rookie class though. Is the crop have decent this year?

I'd consider it, I'm clueless to hockey though...only know the older players.
