I'll always go along to get along, but for the money, there won't be many cards to go around with Tribute. Only 30 cards per box=120 cards per 4 box case. For february I wouldn't mind doing 2011 Bowman Chrome or 2012 Topps series one (lots of sorting for the breaker though). That would give us even more rollover for March/April when alot of the high end stuff starts comming out.

Make that 2 teams left and upsbroker stated would be paying close to the deadline. Silent auction ends in a couple days too, add the Reds to the list as noone has come forward to claim them.

If anybody in the club wants to split the dodgers and/or cardinals with me, let me know. Maybe we can work out a way to share the cost and hits - or even rotate - one month with each team?

Got the payments, just waiting on UPS and one other payment. That should give us a little over $1100 after fees I believe in paypal. Thats also before any unclaimed teams get auctioned. Finest cases are $599, and then I need to order sleeves, team bags and toploaders as well. Which brings me to this question - having busted zero Finest in years, what size[s] do I need?

You'll probably need a couple of packs of 100pt holders for the relic autos. If you get a gigantic patch, you may need a bigger holder but most of the autos will fit in a regular toploader. But, your ordering for future breaks as well so stock up on several sizes. You should have over $100 for supplies @ $5 extra per team this time around.

I would just get a variety of toploaders, mostly regular size, but several (2-5) packs of 55,75,100 and 130. Just get what you need for shipping (ie 100-200 count boxes etc) then keep spending until you get to $120, that's what we threw it in for.

I was trying to get this order in today, but just missed UPS according to Danny, so it will not ship until Monday

Anyhow, I am in the 1 day ship zone normally so it should be here TUES or WED at the latest.

Besides the case, I grabbed 200/300 count boxes, plain toploaders [a bunch] then 2 packs or so each of the 55/75/100/130/180 plus penny sleeves and team bags. I had already bought 500 padded envelopes on eBay for $33 and I also have priority padded envelopes from USPS.

After the last two people pay, we should be at around $1109.75 after paypal fees. This is BEFORE any extra money we get from the auctioned teams. We will have $421.18 left over, again, NOT INCLUDING whatever the auctioned teams go for. There are SEVEN unclaimed teams, so hopefully we will get another $140 or more in extra $$$.

Looks like the first SB promo is out. Baseball choices would be 2008 Topps Chrome, 2008 Bowman Chrome, 2009 UD Signature Stars 10 boxes and 2008 SPX 5 boxes for between $400-500. Could do one or multiple promos. Thoughts on this???

2012 Tribute releases in March, Museum Collection in April, Bowman and Topps Archives in May.

Also, if we really want to do Tribute in March, maybe its just best to skip FEB? A 4 box case is 1150, and we have roughly 420 left over but remember we still need to count shipping expenses, though we will also get more $$$ from the unclaimed teams. So lets just pretend after shipping we still have 400 or so leftover. We would collect roughly 1000 for FEB and 1000 for MAR so if we wanted to do a 8 box case in March of Tribute, we would be able to by skipping FEB - of course in doing so it would wipe us out for APRIL and Museum Collection is in April, to the tune of $2k a case. Not sure its possible to do Tribute and MC in back to back months, but perhaps there is a way?

Do we want to look at doing an additional funds break? For those not in this last year, we had several high end master case breaks where your club fee got you all of the hits for your team in the 1st half of the master case only and then those that chose to pay an additional fee would be covered for the entire case with the hits from those choosing not pay being drafted via random.

This is assuming that most want to do a case of tribute.

Not trying to defend it, but the high end breaks were some of our better ones last year. Yes high risk, but also high reward.
