What if we go:

3 boxes 2012 tribute- $296 x 3 = 888
3 boxes 2012 museum- $240 x 3= 720

Total- $1608
$54 a man plus shipping and paypal
I've been wanting for another shot at Tribute and/or Museum, so something like this sounds pretty good to me.

love both of these but would prefer sticking with a case of one or the other and then we are talking an expensive break.

You are correct nothing is coming out this month. Thats why I looked at Museum, Tribute or TTT for this break. All would be way over budget though (not that we have been close to $50 yet) So let me give 4 or 5 options 3 expensive but really fun breaks and 1 cheap break to hold us over til August.

A. 2012 tribute 8 box case 2349.99 or $79+PP/SH
B. 2012 Museum 12 box case 2794.95 or $93 +PP/SH
C. 2011 Topps Triple Threds 9 box case 1874.95 or $62.50+PP/SH
D. 2010 Topps Triple Threads 9 box case 1599.95 or $53.50+PP/SH
E. 2011 Panini Limited 15 box case 1174.95 or $39+PP/SH

Im not a fan of the unliscensed Panini products but it would allow a cheap monthly break with a hit based product instead of the primarily base (set building) products we have been doing.

Thoughts on any of these?

i say we do the 12 case of Museum. pay 50 this month and 50 next month. I dont want to waste Lexus time opening a cheap case just to break something this month..I figure this way we get into a really decent product, give Lexus a month off and we are still staying in budget. Win Win IMO

What about a case of 2012 Jumbo and a case of 2011 Bowman draft? Would work out to about $69 per person. Lots of good teams to be had.

except when 18 of the 30 members do not get a hit for $50 and people start complaining. I understand its all part of a break and I am always up for the gamble but I think to keep majority happy doing 6 boxes with limited hits would make some feel unsatisfied.

I love tribute. One of the only Topps products I like besides Chrome.

I would have no problem doing bowman each month was just looking for something with less sorting for a change. Definitely should be an idea put to the vote.

I'm good with either A,C or D. Don't like option E at all. Option B is little outside my price range.

I personally like c or d. Also like A broken into two months. Even open for other ideas was just trying to get some discussion going.

I personally prefer going with higher end stuff. I don't mind sorting occasionaly but I just don't have the time with the baby and work. That's why our football group has worked out fantastic in my opinion.
I do love the Bowman Draft and Chrome products though. Like the Topps Chrome stuff too.
We are still getting our legs under us in this group with still quite a bit of turnover. I don't mind combining a couple of months and going higher end.

Topps Chrome will be a great August/September group break...still waiting on the final checklist, but all indications point to this being a great product (plus a chance for a refractor hot box! WOOHOO!).

i do not mind doing the higher end stuff. i would say $100 a month is my limit. i agree with what everyone else is saying. yes, box breaks are a gamble. but what we are spending unless you the the one hit out of the whole case, it is not worth it.
i would not even mind doing the random on draft order once. i think those are a lot of fun. i was in a break group once, where you paid for two months. the group was randomized. people took their turn drafting a card. when the second month came, the list was reversed. they made you pay for two months, so the number 1 or 2 guy, that would be the last two spots the next month, would not back out. just an idea there.
I know that i am starting to ramble on, it would be fun to see some sick hits, even if it was not me getting them.. just fun for the group. but, i do like the group that we have, and it seems like we are almost getting a solid group...
