I return the downpayment if they can find a replacement by the deadline, otherwise, that money gets absorbed into the pot...so far, both spots left vacant have been filled and paid for, hoping not to have to seek more, but I may have to...

You are a good man! I have a sinking feeling another participant or two will back out. You are down as a reserve for now, but fully expect to be a participant! Payment deadline isn't until next Friday, so just keep the $142 aside

I vote not to return the DP. I know it sounds unfair. But so is intentionally taking up a slot in a break only to back out. Its a waste of time and money for many of us.

Recently there has been a rash of bailouts and holdups. Whats even worse are people who are getting into breaks just to hold a spot to see if the product goes hot. If its hot, theyre in. If its cold, they bail. Pretty dirty. That and if you look at recent BKB group breaks, as soon as the random is done, everyone is selling their spots to get out. LOL. Wha!!? Why even enter unless your looking to profit from a lottery random.

I agree about not returning the DP, but if the person backing out can get their replacement to pay by the due date, it's basically the same thing.

I've got two backups on the list, now. TC is going to be an awesome product, no doubt.

I think that's exactly what some people are looking to do...and if they get hosed, they unload for the most dough they can get and roll the dice on the next break. When you get into that routine, it's basically gambling, pure and simple.

Completely agree. I've only tried that one time with 2012 Tier One. I ended up with a Gwynn Patch/Auto for my buddy's HoF PC, so I'm glad no one bit.

As an FYI, I am in this break. I offered to go halfers with kvwjw, so that he didn't have to drop both slots. He will be managing the slot, and he and I will hold our own draft through PM when the break is over. If anyone objects, PLEASE let me know.

Ive seen people move #1 and #2 even top 10 slots. Granted if you get a crazy offer I totally understand. But there are a few people ive seen in every break sell their spot right after random.... and Ive been in a ton of breaks recently.

The draft is a snake. For this example lets say there are 3 teams and 3 slots with 3 cases.

It would go..

When the break is all paid up, the list of participants will be randomized to determine draft order.

The top spot gets #1 pick in cases 1, 3, and 5. They'll pick for all three at the same time. It'll continue until we get to the bottom. Then, the last person gets the last teams available in cases 1, 3, and 5, then picks first for cases 2 and 4. It then continues back up the list until the last teams get assigned to #1.

Before the break starts, I'll throw 5 numbers in a hat, and pick them out one at a time on BlogTV to determine actual case numbers.

Does that make sense?

LOL. I get lucky and get decent slots. But I keep them. Especially in multi case breaks. I mean whenever are you going to get the chance to cherry pick the best of the best out of a 5 or 10 case bust? Its like a dream. Mind you, in a few recent breaks I literally had the best of the best and came out with nothing. We cracked 2012 bowman 3 caser with 10 slots so 3 teams per case each. I had #9 pick in case 1, #2 pick in case 2 and #1 pick in case 3. Total of 9 teams between 3 cases and I got no autos lol.

Yep. You don't have to pick the same team in each case. Whatever teams are available for their given cases at the time you're up to pick are fair game.
