Without even looking at your location I knew you had to be latino/hispanic (sorry - I don't know which is more PC)....that is the only time I ever hear anyone use "ha ha ha ha" as "ja ja ja ja"....and I know this b/c my wife is Colombian, and that is how they say it.

So I've been lurking on the boards for a couple of months now, trying to figure this whole "Group Break" thing out. I signed up a few days ago to start posting and I think I want to get in on this. Just a question. The spots are 1-30, but they're being randomized, so why do people pick spots if you don't mind me asking? I'm just trying to wrap my head around this whole thing. And now that the case count was changed, everyone just gets one card/one pick, is that correct?

Please forgive the ignorance and take it easy on the new guy.

Yes this is a hit draft format. After the random #1 will have 1st pick of the break. and so on down the list. People pick numbers because of personal preference but they are all randomed.

People pick spots as a personal preference as mrmike stated above, some people feel they have their lucky number if you know what I mean. Mostly everyone will get one pick, if we get some extra hits though the people who are at the bottom of the list may be able to pick again but the spot count was spread to 30 in order to give everyone at east 1 pick. As for the base cards they will be put on a list and randomed and matched to the participant list spreading it to about 4 or 5 base cards per spot.

Don't hesitate to ask any more questions or even join this break. I've hosted for alot of first timers and they always have a great time no matter their result

Samuel and OP, thanks a lot for the insight. I've been collecting for years and while I may be an intelligent audio engineer, some other things unrelated to the trained ear at times escape me until I ask questions.

This seems like it's gonna be fun and a different experience from just ripping less expensive product. I am in on this one. I will take #30, in name of Martin Brodeur.

No problem

Payment won't be due until the break fills and is moved into "Active" mode. On top of the first post on the page you should see a box that says "thread tools" click on it and hit subscribe so you can keep track of what's going on.

I will make a post every time there is an update but all updates & details will be found in my OP, thanks for joining!
