Just saw that there are blue wave packs for this product now, limited to 5 per address. Would it be unethical to package up the wrappers in separate shipments and include home addresses of members in this break to take advantage of this, since technically the wrappers are being used by all participants? Not sure how the 2012 Bowman Regular break was handled since I wasn't in that one.

The 2012 Regular break was a fiasco of one hell of an overworked houdini. It is also most likely the one main reason that they moved to 5 packs per household - not the only, but definitely the main - Topps called me a liar and said they would never make such an gregarious mistake as send me nearly 100 extra packs. Where the hell did they come from then?

Ok, ok, so, we have two solutions that I can see:

1. I work my ass off again and package up 5 boxes of wrappers for different people and ship them directly to Topps with your addresses and info.

The pro of this is obviously speed, saved additional shipping cost, and ease for the participant. The con is that then the burden and onus is on me. If Topps does not send you your packs, it will be me that you will blame.

2. I package up 5 boxes of wrappers and ship them to the participants. It is the same amount of work for me, but then the burden is on you to ship them to Topps and you cannot blame me if they do not arrive. The pro here is that I don't have to worry about you packs not arriving. The cons are that the packs may take too long, the extra shipping costs, and that now each participant has to ship their own packs.

Personally, I think we should strongly consider option #1. HOWEVER, it will cost you extra shipping and you guys have to throw me something for the extra work involved. That is only fair. Furthermore, you must post that you will NOT hold me responsible should your packs not arrive.

We have a few days to consider our options.

We would be eligible for 60 blue wave packs (18 packs per box * 12 boxes per case * 10 cases = 2160 packs / 36 packs per redemption), which would require you to send out 12 separate mailings, each containing 180 wrappers.

My question is, what happens after we redeem them? How do they get split? There will be a total of 60 packs and 300 cards (if we get all successfully redeemed). Does each recipient resend the packs to you once we get them and a new break done with these packs in the form of a hit draft?

It is my understanding that with Option 1, nothing is sent back to Houdini - he only sends the wrappers to Topps, who then sends them to the recipients.

Perhaps we hold a second random of all slots, and the first 12 unique member names on the list get the option to have Houdini send in the packs for them. I've never done a live draft before, but I imagine in combination with people sending their personal list if they are unable to make the live draft, a live draft could get it done in a few hours rather than over a few days.

Ok, I know that 24 wrappers fit in a normal envelope, but 180 wrappers would probably go better in a flat rate for size and speed, yes?

I am thinking $5.15 shipping, < 50 cents supplies, < 40 cents paypal fees, and a few bucks to pack 180 wrappers into separate bundles of 36 and mail them next day to Topps.

If that sounds fair to you, call it $10? (That would pay me about $44 - to open all 10 cases immediately and sort, bundle, and ship all wrappers next day. I will have to work through the night as I will be opening 20 cases.)

Or you could also sell these to anyone in the break instead.
