RE: Blue Wave packs for Bowman Chrome

The 2012 Bowman Regular break was a fiasco of one hell of an overworked houdini. It is also most likely the one main reason that they moved to 5 packs per household - not the only, but definitely the main - Topps called me a liar and said they would never make such an gregarious mistake as send me nearly 100 extra packs. Where the hell did they come from then?

Ok, ok, so, we have two solutions that I can see:

1. I work my ass off again and package up 5 boxes of wrappers for different people and ship them directly to Topps with your addresses and info.

The pro of this is obviously speed, saved additional shipping cost, and ease for the participant. The con is that then the burden and onus is on me. If Topps does not send you your packs, it will be me that you will blame.

2. I package up 5 boxes of wrappers and ship them to the participants. It is the same amount of work for me, but then the burden is on you to ship them to Topps and you cannot blame me if they do not arrive. The pro here is that I don't have to worry about you packs not arriving. The cons are that the packs may take too long, the extra shipping costs, and that now each participant has to ship their own packs.

Personally, I think we should strongly consider option #1. HOWEVER, it will cost you extra shipping and you guys have to throw me something for the extra work involved. That is only fair. Furthermore, you must post that you will NOT hold me responsible should your packs not arrive.

We have a few days to consider our options.

Houdini could purchase the rights to the empty wrappers from each participant for the princely sum of 1 penny per spot (as a credit towards a future break) and then do whatever the heck he wants with them without any judgement from any one inside or outside the break.

The time, effort and extra shipping costs incurred by houdini would be rewarded with blue wave packs.

Due to packs per household limitations houdini will be required to purchase more houses.

Option 3? Pre sell wrappers on Ebay in packs of 36?

I don't really know what the right answer is as it's going to be a lot of extra work for you Houdini. I have my own cases coming so I don't need "my wrappers," but I think it would have been cool if they sent you all the packs and then that was an extra little break.

I THINK there are enough wrappers for everyone in each break to get a package. 10 cases - 120 boxes - 120 packs, right? I do not think we have 120 participants.

Unfortunately, neither of these are viable. I cannot use the wrappers. I only have a couple addresses that I can use. I think I might be able to get 4 packages or so all told.

The eBay option is actually big trouble because too many scammers out there. Learned that from the last break where guys sold wrappers that did not arrive in time and he got a paypal case.

But the promotion says that you need 36 wrappers - that is two hobby boxes worth of wrappers.

So, we have enough wrappers for 60 people to receive 1 pack.

Do we do it so that 95% of people receive 1 pack or do we do it so that only a few lucky stiffs get all 5 packs?

Do we need a random of the list? Top 12 different names win?

I think, for the sake of ease, we should random the participants list. I will have 120 boxes worth of wrappers - you need 10 boxes for 5 packs. That is 12 people.

There will be an additional cost! I will send the wrappers to Topps for you. You must post that you do NOT hold me responsible for your 5 packs - Topps is as Topps does and once I ship it is 100% out of my control!

This is true, but I was thinking, it would be 5 times the work for me. If we give just 12 lucky people the Wrappers then I only have to create 12 packages each break instead of 60 each. You see? That is a freaking nightmare.

12 lucky winners to be randomed by a mod 3 times. The winners may then choose to receive their wrappers or have me ship ...or sell them within the break.
