DizzyDSki (1) 19. New York Yankees - Ivan Nova auto 60/75, Alex Rodriguez relic 301/399, Andy Pettitte relic 094/150

Almost as bad as the Pirates only getting Travis Snider for BRAD LINCOLN!

Musial white whale, Sandberg, Jeter, Griffey, Ryan, Stanton & Jackson autos and Strasberg, Trout, Champman, Heyward rookie autos are all great hits. That said its up to the random gods where they land.

Thanks for a great break!

Sign me up for the next one, it would be fun to cap a dollar amount and poll which product would be in the next break.

Thanks for the well wishes guys..... Mom had MS and was suffering for years.... I take solace in the fact she is finally at peace...... I didn't mean to fill this thread with my personal issues, but with all that has happened to me this past week I was just so frustrated !!!!! Once again, thanks to everyone and congrats to those that did well here on this break....... Now back to your regularly scheduled break chat !!

Don't sweat the thread bud. We are humans before collectors and mist of us have lost people we love along the way. Sometimes our collecting gets put in perspective by such things.

As for the break, I know it can ne tough seeing so many cool cards pulled and yet not get much of any yourself. It is the nature of these high end breaks.

I have had a request to do a version with the same team throughout. Would that be of interest? The yankees would be golden... Nats, angels, red sox... Etc would all be great teams too. What do you think?

It would be really tough to drop $300 and get the Astros in all the boxes. But here's an idea. Maybe you could do something like 25 spots and the last 10 teams (based on whatever metric you want to use) could be grouped into 2 team spots (ie Astros\Padres as a single slot), worst case you have two teams you could hit out of.

I agree that it would be tough to pull the astros or padres. That is why I have it this way actually. However, the argument is that is the risk in a high risk break...

With only 25 spots, I would have a lot of trouble getting enough product to make it worth it I think.

You should do an end of year group break.
Breaking either dec 30-31 or jan 2-3

Something funky lol

Yeah, that is why I always preferred the way you are doing it. Plus, all the trading possibilities .

I like this format with a different random for each product. If it wasn't for these breaks I'd never touch a pack of the high end stuff myself. Its a ton of work for Houdini, but I think it's the fairest format.

No one is ever ready to lose a parent no matter what the situation. If I hit the random on the Pedroia/Kinsler it's yours.

As one who got the Pads 4 times this go around, I would be ok getting one team in all the boxes. It adds to the excitement and the risk/reward.

Hey if I wanted something guaranteed I would take the $300 and buy myself a box of somehting to get at least one hit. What Houdini is doing is giving you a chance for a big hit spread out over alot of boxes. Love the reward for the risk!!

So I would be good for one team in all the breaks. Or however you would want to structure it!

Will be in the next break when it comes up!

I'm sorry for your loss, Murphy. My mom passed away when I was 15, after suffering for nearly 10 years, so I know what you're going through. Granted, we're both adutls (31 and 39, I think you said), but if you need any advice or anything, let me know.
