Ok guys and gals,
I'm thinking about starting a monthly PC break club, and I want some feedback on format and interested parties. My thought is to have no more than 15 members, with each person committing to between $70-80/month. We would vote on the product to be broken, and it would be a team PC break - meaning when you sign up, you choose your team for the year (or first 3 months so we can see how it goes), then the last 15 teams will be randomed. The costs work out to allow us to break 1 case plus a few boxes of most products on a monthly basis. And, of course, if the members want to skip a month, but still pay, to save up for a larger break, that's ok by me. So, post in here if you're interested, and if you have any suggestions as to product. If you say you're interested, feel free to claim a team...I'll be taking the Red Sox, though! 1) NHsportsguy - Red Sox 2) DaBaddestHic - Braves 3) Swingman - Nationals ? 4) achantl - Mariners 5) JohnAndrew - Yank-Mes 6) Hellwig - Brewers 7) Tugarpj - Tigers 8) pikeman80 - Giants 9) CubsFaninTx - Cubs 10) superjames27 - Dodgers 11) jimssouveneirs - Angels 12) thebrett - Royals 13) jpitten - Phillies (possibly) 14) WNxSheriff - Reds (possibly) 15) wjubck - Pirates Backups grahamgdogg - Reds kyle134 - Phillies zw15 - Rangers Format has been submitted for approval!!

This seems like something I'd be interested in (Braves). Might get more interest posting in the group breaks section though?
I think it'd be cool if the remaining 15 teams were randomed each month. That way if one of the leftover teams happened to have players that got hot, the same person wouldn't always have them. My preference would also be to stay away from really high end products as well, as I'd prefer to come out with 40 cards than just two. Probably not an issue at ~$1125 a month though.

Ok guys, I'll keep a running list in the OP, and if we get a few more people on-board, I'll post in the Group Breaks section.
Just a thought - given the extreme value of Harper and Trout, do you think we should allow people to pick those teams as we would any other, random those teams or their autos, or any other suggestions?

Yep, agreed. Maybe that's what the OP was getting at, but I'd love a shot at a different "second team" each month.

I have been looking to join a monthly group break type thing. I'll take the Brewers.

I'd consider doing this for the Reds, though I'm concerned that those who get the best prospect/veteran teams will be more likely to stick with this long-term than others. Perhaps if those with the "best" teams (Yankees, Nats, etc) got the worst of the additional teams after our 15, this would be more fair. We could simply weight the teams so that the best gets the worst and so on. Of course this leaves open the debate of the "worst", but it still seems to be a more amicable solution for everyone I believe.
