That's what I suggested, look back at my first post. I probably could have been more clear about top 5 getting them... what I mean't for that to be taken as is top 5 in another random, for each case

I feel it should be done by how many slots were purchased. Just 1 random for a 10 cases all at once. So if 20 slots purchased, 20 slots in the random. 1 slot purchased, 1 slot in the random. Keep it simple.

Thanks for getting this discussion going, John. Here are my thoughts:
1) Re-random each case, and the top 5 people (no duplicates per case) get 9 codes each. I would keep whatever's left. 2) Give everybody the same number of codes that they purchased slots for (i.e. jusrelax would get 1...hobbiewt would get 9...Swingman would get 20), for a total of 300, then re-random each case and give the top 2 people 5 each. I would keep whatever's left. Those are my top 2 choices, but I'm open to more suggestions.

Either option is fine with me. My personal vote would go for option #1. I think for those who purchased between 1-5 slots the 1st option would give them a better chance at codes so that might be the way to go. Also you need at least 8 cards for a full lineup, and the only way to guarantee that for anyone who purchased less than 3 slots is option #1. I don't see much of a point in getting codes if won't even be able to field a full team (except for the slight chance of winning the blue wave redemption).
Figure if someone bought 1 slot they would get 1 code (which 1 code by itself is useless in this), and they have a 2 (top 2 people)/30 or 6% chance of getting 5 more codes. In option 1 if they bought 1 slot they would have a 5 (top 5 people)/30 or a 17% chance of getting 9 codes (a full lineup). I think that should give everyone a good perspective

Not sure what you mean, but under no circumstances will I be inputting, sorting, and sending that many codes/PM's to people. Sorry to be blunt, but that is entirely too much effort.

Ok, I need to get up about 2 hours before sunrise tomorrow, so I'm hitting the sack.
Here is what I think I'm going to do: 1) Random all 10 cases again; 2) Top 4 names (no duplicates in each case) get 10 codes (400 codes); 3) Random the names of people that didn't get codes, and the top 5 people get 10 codes (50 codes); this is where it may get confusing 4) (Should have 30 codes left) If any of the 30th pick people in any case did not get a lot of 10 codes, those people will be put into a random to receive a lot of 10 codes; 5) I'd like to hang on to the rest as compensation. Feel free to discuss, but the only way I'm not going to go this route is if someone has a VERY strong reason and argument against it, and proposes an equally fair plan.

Sounds like a great plan to me, well thought out Ryan!
Also might help to place a rule that if you're gonna allow trading of the code cards that each person must keep at least 1-2 codes in their possession, just in case we get shorted from the odds with them so that it doesn't create a chaos of tracking down the traded ones... Topps first year doing this with bowman, something tells me to expect some flaws

Yeah I was going to recommend Sunday night as the perfect time to start it.
My calculations have 25 teams with autos, plus the Nats having Harper with a RC auto making it 26 teams. Will update once I figure out who doesn't... Teams that do not have autos- PIT, DET, MIN (Buxton Aflac autos), LAA
