I agree...you need 10 in order to compete, as i read it, so any less would be worthless. Instead of per spot, perhaps, per person??

One good point and one bad one in there IMHO

10 codes can make a team, although some codes will likely unlock the same player (and some codes will unlock bowman packs) so there's no way to avoid incomplete teams even if you increase the # of codes.

That beings said, per player probably won't work (Not that I'm against it). It doesn't seem fair to random the codes whether someone bought spot or 10 (or now owns one spot or 10).

This is a 20 case break, and everyone has bought in to own what's in the 20 cases. Some have bought more than others, i.e. they should have more of a share (or more of a "random" share) to the codes just as they do to the cards.

Damn right I'm biased, but I also think it's the fairest way to go (codes for each spot OR random codes after the draft is complete, each spot getting one "entry")

I'd much rather concede my 2 worthless codes and an incomplete team in order for someone to have a chance to have a chance at a complete team. The amount of people left can't be that much more than 100 and maybe everyone can walk away 10?

I would suggest 20 random spots. Each spot gets one case worth of code cards.

Easy for the host and each spot gets a good amount of codes.

Yea, yea ... but with each code having the chance at 5 Blue Wave packs ... I think there's enough value for people to want two.

Let me give something a shot here ...

Bowman Chrome gave away 10,000 Blue Wave packs. If they do the same for BDPP, that means there will be 2,000 codes that unlock blue wave packs.

I can't remember which player said it, but a tweet came out from one of the prospects that said "Just signed 1,600 autos ... I hope they're worth somethin".

With 40 players having autos (most likely) and each of them signing 1,600 cards, that would mean there are 64,000 draft autos. 64,000 autos means 64,000 boxes (an inexact science as Jumbo have three autos per box AND we don't know if additional Aflac autos (or other autos) count toward the one per box ... so to be more inexact, let's round down to 55,000 boxes)

55,000 boxes, each which have 4 codes ... you're talking about 220,000 total codes for BDPP.

2,000 Blue Wave winning codes ... 220,000 codes. Chances are 1/110 codes that you pull a blue wave redemption. (So 1/27.5 boxes or every ~2+ cases)

By my terribly speculative logic, Houdini will pull 4 or 5 redemptions for Blue Wave packs ...

One thing I want you to remember, the codes were an additional bonus that has been added. I am not keeping them, of course, but I am never going to please everyone no matter how I do it.

OP is updated...

The code cards are a conundrum.

I obviously cannot random off 20 slots of 48 codes... I think that may be worth as much as $200 each. I don't think that is right.

I also cannot give 2 per spot and keep the rest because I think that could be worth as much as $500. I really like that idea (haha), but I also do not think that would be right either.

I have an idea that could add more product to our break, but I am still considering.

Interesting Houdini ... your comments would suggest you value the 960 codes at roughly $4 a piece; thus this move by Bowman adds almost $4,000 of value to this break.

I dont think we see the codes over $2 personally, but they will still be valuable........It definately boosted the product thats for sure........

Heres the way i see it, they could be pretty hot out the door which is when the group (houdini) would move them.........its all gonna come down to how often the packs release....because in the end a majority of the people entering codes arent going to have "jaypers like knowledge" of prospects depending on how far they take it......which they might only input 50 prospects making it somewhat limited but who knows, i hope they maybe release some further info on it so i can at least get a better grasp on it, this promo itself could push bowman draft into a whole new level if it goes well.............

And to follow up on my post, no codes have really sold for over $2 once all the virtual games started which is essentially what this is, the opportunity to win the packs will push this. But my initial thought will be one every 15-30 codes will unlock a pack making the purchase of codes at a higher risk than normal, guessing they will have for example 10,000 packs like other promos i will be curious to see the expiring date on the codes........
