After seeing some breaks i would like to say congrats to Needchapmans on the steal of the draft.........the futures spots........the patches look to be hitting pretty regular (1 per case or so) and those spots will pay dividends...............

Could turn up duds ... but we'll see. Expecting 2 patches per case, 1 jumbo patch every 4 cases or so (and a book would be delicious!)

Topps has said to call "customer support" (keep a straight face reading that?) if you think you are missing some code cards.

Let's see how that plays out. I will call them with videos of the 44 cases I will be opening this week. I will ask them to kindly watch every #@#@#@#@ing minute of the breaks so that they can count the codes with me...

"If you think you are missing codes..."

Houdini,

What will be your order? Are you going to do this break first or the one on HHOC site first?

Uhhhhh, here's a question for you Houdini.

When you broke the jumbo box (or any box really), did you pull ANY Bowman's Best Die-Cuts?

I have not seen a single one listed on eBay that wasn't numbered, and thus leads me to believe the 40 Boomo lots and 10 lots here are going to just punish me with 0 cards.

If in fact there are no base inserts ... that was $1,500 well spent on my part for just 20 or so $10 inserts! Ugh.

Sorry to Hi-jack the thread, but it has been confirmed, there is no base level for the Bowman's Best inserts. I've officially screwed myself.

I brought this up last night chapman. We broke a case and didn't hit a single one. I immediately thought of those boomo spots and how that would hurt. But the inserts should be worth more especially of the right players?

Do we have a slot for those dual player top pick inserts? Maybe those can go into the bowmans best lot for each case, to ease the pain a bit.

The odds suggest you'll pull one per case, maybe.

I bought up over $1,100 of Boomo spots thinking there would be 48 inserts per case, minimum. Plus I've got 10 picks here in Houdini's draft ...

I'm gonna see if Boomo will work with me / as for Houdini ... IDK. Don't think the situation can be changed here, but you can be damn sure I'm gonna fix it in the 50 caser. (Heading to the DMV angry, back in a few so forgive me if I don't respond to questions).

And here is a prime example of the risk boomo took running this type of auction - some people WILL file charge backs. I am not talking about you Chapmans, just people in general.

Honestly it's kind of the inherited risk of doing these thing. Just like it looks like you will prosper from the future lot that risk paid off not sure you should look for a hedge since the risk of the diecut lot didn't.

As for boomo break what ever you can work out with him more power to you.

That's even worse than the codes being 50% less. The inserts were 1:6 on the sell sheet and they don't even exist. At least the die cut parallels are alive and well.

The one I watched had none but its likely 1 per case on average. But it's possible for a shut out.

If you picked an auto of a prospect, and he had no auto ... you think that is "risk"

There's a difference between SP'ing something and not producing it altogether. Especially when you spend over a grand on the assumption you'll have 2,000 cards, and you now get 20.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I was in a topps chrome player break and selected not one but 2 players that were on the checklist before it went live and neither were in the product. I didn't say boo. It's the risk. So the answer is yes.

Don't take my opinion that I don't feel your pain. This isn't a contest to me I hope everyone makes out.

If we don't have a spot for these this makes sense to me.

So you picked players that we'rent even in the product, and you were not compensated?

It's interesting because some people say "risk" but that's not true. Fact of the matter is that when you select in these group breaks, you do so based on "fact". If there were risk involved, how come you can only go down in value, not up.

Any added value and the break changes to spread the value. Any reduced value and "well, that's risk you took" and only individual pickers are hurt.

Again, in Houdini's break, it's a tough pill to swallow. Swallowed. In Boomo's, I just can't swallow a four figure loss even before the break begins.
