I understand the 48 slots for the GU or auto's (6 per box multiply by 8 box case) but the base and inserts/parallel making up 3 of the 51 slots?

If you hit the base or insert slot of the group break what and how many do you receive?

Two of the group breaks I have done I hit the base slot and I want to say I received 6-8 cards, which is a pretty good amount. Hope this helps.

The base slot will get all (apx.) 144 base cards from the case.
The insert/parallel slot will get 4 boxes worth of them. They are 6 per box, so each of those 2 slots will get 24 cards /199 or less.

So in the end, these 3 slots may turn out to be very good if we can hit some low numbered parallels and/or complete the base set.

I was hoping for a hit slot but good night 144 cards, kind of makes me want to get the base slot.

Sometimes base sets are even more valuable than some of the hits...I remember I was one of the person that got a base set from Patrick's 09 Topps Finest Baseball GB. At first I was really bummed out...but I sold the base set for $45 which paid for both of my slots from that break!

Now if only you moved out of Canadia You may have been able to sell it for more if it didn't have to go through customs and take as long as it does to get to you.
