I like the original idea of starting at $5. I would post the price next to the team, but not who is high bidder (maybe keep a spread sheet). The better teams will go for more, so I think asking for a premium is not required. However this is just IMO.

You could do that, I would expect the upper teams (Lions, Jets, etc) would get the extra bids to get them (plus side of keeping the bids known). Given the slots are either a game-used or an auto, the parallels/rookies/base slots should be pretty decent and as you said, would be nice slots for team collectors.

The bid she include the dlvd price. The way I was understanding this, is that the shipping would be covered in the original $5 bid.

Yes, you can. Basically, with this type of break I am trying to offer a win-win. Team collectors may just want their team but don't want to pay $20 for a hit to get them.

That is what I figured. I did add a note that based on the shipping schedule only the funds left over would be used to reduce the slot prices.

This is the tricky part because the slots for the hits also have to fill. Shipping wil definitely be capped somehow. This is the part that may be a work in progress so to speak.

I like it Swerve, mix things up a little but. Are people not in the break going to be able to bid on base. It might increase the amount coming in and offset the break price even more. Or will that be to confusing?

Ok, everything should be up to date.
The teams with bids and the current high bids are displayed. Note that these may or may not be the max bids received on that particular team. As the hit slots get closer to filling and deadline for bidding on the team lots will be determined. Also, I will try to give a rough estimate of slot cost as it goes down.
