I can't wait myself just to see who goes #1, it won't be an easy choice. Blowout policy mandates we have to give everyone at least 48 hours before they have to draft, but if the person up already wants to announce, they may do so.

Sorry for the delay. Been wheeling and dealing and still have a few more negotiations pending. Anyone else interested in #1, let me know.

Wow. What could you have expected to get at $500 with #1? That Billy Ripken is a $250 card, which is nicer in value than what we got in the last case with imnotded.

No kidding. If someone had offered me $500 I would gone out and bought an Ichiro!

That being said, willing to sell #1. First $200 offer takes it. Resell the Billy and make some $.

Sorry for the delay. Thanks for the offers and advice (and the patience). Also, thanks to swanssy on his first (of hopefully many) break. It's been a lot of fun chatting and negotiating with many of you. It's also been tough going back and forth on going for the $$$ or taking a card of one my all-time favorites. In the end the collector in me has won.

With the first selection of the 2012 Leaf Memories BASEBALL 1 Case DRAFT HIT Break, SkipsCards selects Nolan Ryan "No Hit King" buyback auto 03/34.

5714, baby!

1st pick officially off the board! 5207P has until 11:00 AM CST tomorrow to make the next pick or may go sooner if they wish. Picks will be grayed out on the rankings as they are made.

I know. It was quite a struggle. In the end I had to go with Ryan. One of my 3 trips to Cooperstown was to see my favorite and second favorite players get inducted in 1999 (Brett and Ryan) so I always have a hard time passing up cards of either one of them.

Speaking of, always willing to make trades for any unusual Brett's I don't already own.

If you follow me on twitter (@waxtopia) then you know I'm a Brett fanatic as well. Needless to say, if he had a buyback auto in this, I probably would have busted a case for myself! Nice avatar btw

Excellent and thank you! I just joined twitter so I haven't been following you, but a fellow Brett fan will be a must-follow.

I still have the entire game on my DVR from when the MLB network replayed it 4 years ago. Glorious!

Thats the only memory I have of Brett from his playing days so I had to throw that up, it was awesome! I love MLB network for that reason alone, they replay classic games. I have Game 7 of the 97 WS on my DVR, just need to find time to rewatch it lol
