Damn Ravens get greedy. Just kick the field goal and hold the 49ers for another $500

Need your input as to what everyone wants to do with the $250.00. Please discuss.

Wait for the March Madness Promo and see if we can't get something for $250.

I will also be happy to do a case of SK E if that is the consensus

I'd second waiting for March Madness. As much as I love SKE, I got my #@#@#@ royally handed to me in this break, and if it is run like the initial break, $116 of our $250 is going to go just to cover fees (or roughly $110 since there'd be less PayPal fees). So without an extra "promo spot" kicker or anything, I'd rather just use the $250 towards a cheaper break.

As another thought, the gift certificate can be sent to other people as well - could it just be split up evenly or random 10 winners of $25 each or something? Just a thought considering fees might eat up 40% of the prize anyway.

What do we do with the box of Fusion and the remaining funds?

I do not feel like asking blowout to give separate gift cards, an entry in something is the way to go.

We could add whatever fusion box we get with any other prizes we might get to break since theres a good chance of getting more with 20 prizes. You could use the rest of the gift certifacate for supplies and somethings small or if everyone agrees we could all add more money based on how many spots we have for 2 spots in it.

I am good with either promo, but if we do the NBA, I vote to add funds and get a second slot.

Definitely on board with this - would prefer a second Fusion slot over more SKE to keep extra costs down.

I don't see a square for Bryce in the promo...would've been a nice way to roll our winnings.

Maybe BO will have another promo before March Madness? If not, just wait until then?

Default Suggestion

I'd prefer to do something "free" with the $250 or at very little cost. The initial break of this included $116 in fees for 9 shipments/participants. The case price is $60 higher, so all else equal, we'd be looking at an identical break with only $3.70 off per slot ($250 - $116 - $70 / 20)...maybe slightly less due to less PayPal fees and maybe a lower shipping cost based on an idea below...so still costing about $53-$54/spot.

If we did Sportkings E again, we'd need at least six boxes to get one spot in the Promo. $69 * 6 = $414 - $250 = $164 box cost, or $8.20 per spot. Including PayPal fees, everything could ship easily for no more than $11 per spot (most of us have two or more spots, so $5.60 easily covers PP and bubble mailer...the lucites cases the cards come in could be used to ship).

Granted the slots outside of the "hits" aren't very sexy, but this is an extra "free" break and it would give us one spot in the NCAA. With the $250 we have, it'll be tough for us to even get in the promo otherwise...this would at least keep us active for the NCAA. Just my two cents...

Box 2 Hit
Box 3 Hit
Box 4 Hit
Box 5 Hit
Box 6 Hit

Box 2 Premium Back
Box 3 Premium Back
Box 4 Premium Back
Box 5 Premium Back
Box 6 Premium Back
Box 1-3 Mini (if any)
Box 4-6 Mini (if any)

...maybe even make it where if you get one of the six hit spots, you wouldn't continue on into the NCAA promo to kinda even out the spots a bit more?

Alternatively, if we did a case, we'd probably have to buy two more boxes to get us three spots in the promo, so we'd be back around $67-$69 per slot again.

I need the group to come to an agreement. That is why we did not have a spot in the last promo as there were only a couple of people making suggestions and there was no real agreement as to what "everyone" wanted to do.

I am very busy and on the road a lot so I do not have a lot of time to put into this. Please pick the products and I will figure out the slot pricing if there is additional funds needed.

Via PM you solicited us for ideas, so here are a few:

1 - The 6-Box / 20-Slot Break
6 @ $69 = $414 - $250 = $164 Box Cost
9 @ $2.50 for shipping & supplies (easily covered) = $22.50
Insuring say 2-3 packages @ $10 total = $10.00
$196.50 * 2.9% + .30 per payment for PayPal = $8.40
Cost = $204.90

Via PM, you said that $11 was too low and it would be $12 per slot which is $35 to host which sounds reasonable. So the six-box break would be one possibility.

2 - Three-Box random
No NCAA promo and only three winners, but no additional costs, no eBay fees and only three shipments. There'd be $43 leftover in B.O. credit that you could perhaps use and you cover our shipping costs, or could be used for B.O. to ship to us directly with some leftover for you.

3 - Another one-caser?

4 - Another product entirely?

2011 Topps Chrome Football and/or 2011 Topps Finest Football would be about a pack each for each slot...could do a pack break?

Anyone else have other suggestions? Honestly just trying to throw a few examples out there...

I am fine with SK E as presented here and like the six hit slots being out of the NCAA promo.
