So, are we still getting the Finest for this break? Or is that out?

thanks for the update.what about replacing Finest with Certified or even Mayo. if you did mayo would have to figure out what to do with all the non-player cards.

I just got done submitting one. It is with a set twist! I think it will add more value to everyones slot or atleast a chance to add value. Be on the look out...

Thanks

More than 32 slots to draft??? You can start dropping clues until it posts I'm sure that would whet our appetites....kinda bored waiting for the draft to end.

Alright...I thought it would be posted by now...

Here is what I came up with...
2 cases of 2009 Bowman Chrome
1 case of 2009 Topps Chrome

Just the same as it has always been, draft style by team.

But here is the twist. I will make 1 base set of 2009 Topps Chrome 1-110 and one set with RC's 1-220, with Bowman Chrome, I will make 2x base sets 1-110 and 2 sets with RC's 1-165, these sets will be randomized off to the people in the break. Slot holders dont loose ahole lot loosing some base and a few RC's, but the sets still sell well and would be a great bonus to any slot holder...

What do you think?

Oh and most importantly, the slot price was $60. About the price of a box!

I still vote for straight teams. You'd be taking 2 rookies (1 from each set) away from each team slot. I know I got lucky this time but if I had slots 31 and 32 I'd still take it like a gambler and enjoy the break.

Randomizing the sets to all slot holders doesn't guarantee that the people who have late picks will get anything anyway. I think it's the people getting late draft picks that are looking to find some way to balance the outcome.

The only way I think you could compensate the lower slots would be to add say 5 bucks to the slot price and have a rebate for the last 10 slots or so after randomization with the extra $160. For instance the last 10 slots get $16 back plus their pick. I wouldn't mind paying a little more to have something like that happen.

IMHO,
Vinny

The reward for buying slots is the top picks you might get by randomization. You can't charge more for the people who are winners in the process. At best you can set up a small rebate for the people who end up on the bottom.

Frankly, it's a gamble and people should know that and accept it. I'm not sure about anyone else but if you bet $50 on a horse and it comes in last the track doesn't feel bad for you and give you anything back.

Anyone who thinks I'm saying this because I have 2 decent slots doesn't know anything about gambling. I didn't complain when Vintage Collector got the first 2 slots in one of the team breaks recently. It was done randomly and he got lucky.

I dont think thats fair either - i mean listen, in this break i basically threw away 201 dollars, but its part of the gamble essentially.

If I had gotten lucky with randomization, why should I have had to pay more?

I am with you on one thing though - id rather just stick with the team slots.

Why not just add limited or certified or something if you cant get finest.

Oh, btw, I PMd the next guy up....hopefully he picks soon, id like to make my last 2 picks before i leave for Pitt tomorrow for the weekend - this has got to be the slowest draft ever

You never know what's going to happen. That's the beauty of randomization. If someone gets several top picks, good for them. They shouldn't then be penalized for it.

Just because you have the top picks, it doesn't mean anything though. There more of a risk for the Stafford, Sanchez, Crabtree and Moreno auto's because they are much harder to pull than Massaquoi, Cushman, Ringer and Rashad Jennings auto's.

On Coltman 18's first multi-product break, I bought the most slots and had 4 of the bottom 11 picks and 3 of the bottom 6. However, with those "crappy" teams, I ended up with more than half of the Auto's and Jerseys out of the break and I also got the only Red Refractor numbered out of 5. So you never know.

I agree that maybe we can look at giving a little back to the bottom 10 but the top guys shouldn't have to pay anything extra, no matter how many slots they have at the top.

i think bowman chrome, topps chrome and certified would be a good group break, more chances of getting hits in certified

I got the last slot in one of colt's breaks. Just the luck of the randomizer. Ended up with the Jags. And got a 1/1 Jones-Drew card from it. It is the thrill of what you might end up with. No matter what. It's the gambel that you take when signing up for a slot in the first place. And you never know what will come out of a case for the team you select or you have to take because your on the bottom.

If you have to start giving money back because someone didn't like the position that they got. It can start running into problems. All I can say is. If you don't like to take a risk of getting the low pick. Then don't sign up for a slot. Because from what I can see. Colts breaks are very popular. Just look how long this took to fill. Get paid for. And ordered. For this one. What? 3 days? or less? I was going to join. Made the mistake of thinking too long and missed out.

Too coltman..I would keep it just the way it is. It is for the fun of the break.

And GL to All in the break...

coltman I would rather see 1 case 09 Certified take the place of one of the Bowman Chrome cases.Slot price would only go up about 2 bucks.Plus get better cards.Would rather get a nice jersey or auto instead of some xtra no name rc.especially if you have a later pick.

As for making sets; I guess just depends on the group. If majority wants to than that's fine, if not than that's also fine.
