Really? The inevitable answer is bc of the Contenders GB where the host did not post anywhere the amount and the list was randomed 1 time... and it kept all the names in order so the reason is bc if a host does not post it in (post #1) I as a paying member have a right to ask. The odds of a 1 time random vs. 3/5/7 are extremely different so if a random is done 1 time then I would have excluded myself.

Randomness by it's very nature can't be partial. It is either complete or it isn't. It's like being wet. It doesn't matter if you jump in a pool for 30 seconds or 3 hours. When you come out, you're wet.

You can have a list of 30 names, randomize it once and have it come back in the exact same order. You can randomize that same list 10,000 times and have it come back in the same order. It does not change the probability of the outcome.

If someone else made an issue after you'd nailed down a top team, my bet is you'd be throwing a tantrum, taking your ball and going home! Let me put this into perspective for you.. If the government were giving out re-enlistment bonuses to one soldier and there were 45 in your platoon and they put all the names in a random list and the top guy got $25,000 vs. #2 getting $0... they random it (ONE) time and the list doesnt change...how would you feel? I sold my way out of that break so it did not matter to me. I am wondering why me asking has touched your nerve? Me being an Armed Forces member myself I dont let those things bother me but you must have missed first formation this morning to be so cranky. And random 1 time vs. 3/5 the odds are better for more randomness...like playing the lottery why has the lottery never been 1-2-3-4-5 PB-6 why bc the balls are getting kicked around inside the machine. If they simply dumped the balls in and pulled them just as fast the odds for 1-2-3-4-5 PB 6 would be there but they still let them blow around for a little to get them random. I have never seen a random done 5 or 7 times and the list comes out the same... I am a paying member and if I post asking how manytimes I dont think its any of your business... I dont follow you around asking why you do everything you do so please stop doing it to me. I am asking you one time and one time only, I have a right to ask the HOST had I known it was against the rules to ask a reasonable question for whatever reason it might be...I am sorry for asking...

I don't have a problem with asking - it wasn't until someone asked that the number of randoms was posted.

As a math teacher, your theory that the number of randoms has a direct effect on the outcome is incorrect. Random by nature means that it is unpredictable...it doesn't matter if it is done once, thrice, a hundred times, or more. The list will still be a random sequence. That is the way the algorithm on the web site is set up.
