If we condense the base cards (which I would be in favor of) how many slots total would there be?

I'd rather drop a case (and keep the same price) than combine the base (and raise...). As was stated before, a lot of the base cards are just as valuable as many of the autos, if not more. Heck, Puig's base is a $100 card.

Dropping a case diminishes everything. Since we are drafting, here's my question...

Will there be more than 5 single base cards that guys might draft over a cheap auto? Otherwise the Puig or any other valuable base will be consolidated and still available in a pick.

Wondering out loud,
VinnyH

I say condense the base.

If you like the base just draft them.

Here's something to think about:
If we pull a Puig base, it's going to be a high pick regardless of whether or not it's included with 2 other base cards (3 base cards per case). If the break doesn't fill, we won't be pulling any cards. If we don't combine the base, we have 44 spots left to fill; if we do combine the base, we have 34 spots left to fill. And, remember that when most of you signed up, the break was around $10 per slot higher anyways, since the pricing has come down.

I'm leaning very strongly toward combining the base slots into a 1 per Case draft-able slot in order to get this filled.

Who would be in?!

Default Obviously...

I'm still in and I hope we can inspire some new entries. There will be 80 slots.

5 cases (15 boxes) will produce:
  • 30 total of: an Active and/or Retired Player Autographed Cards
  • 15 of either: an Autographed Patch Card or an Autographed Card
  • 15 of either: an Autographed Book Card or an Silver Signatures Autographed card
  • 15 from a mix of: Jumbo Swatch Patch (mostly), Batting Glove, MLBLogo, Bat Plate or Bat Knob Relic Card
  • 5 slots with 3 rare base cards each

I play from payday to payday with a small budget. I agree that we should drop it if it doesn't fill or come real close to filling by next weekend.

Fingers crossed,
VinnyH
