Looking to do a case break of a 2009 Bowman Sterling Baseball Hobby 4 Box Case.



IT WILL BE A RANDOM DRAW. EACH PERSON GETS WILL GET 4 HITS AND/OR ALL THE BASE FROM BOX 1/2 OR 3/4 OR ALL PARALLEL FROM BOX 1/2 OR 3/4. (21 slots)


There are 4 boxes in this case.

Each box has 6 packs. 5 cards per pack.

Each box has 13 autos and 6 relic cards. Plus each box has a Blue Refractor Relic Card box loader.

A total of 80 hits are in the case. 4 hits per slot.

Example of how this will work.

Everyone will get 4 random picks 1-84. Likely picks 81-84 will get the base and parallel. (Unless someone picks the base or parallel early instead of a hit).

Person one gets pick 1,13,56,84
Person two gets pick 14,23,45,46
and yada yada yada...


Price Breakdown

799.00/21= $38.04

+ $3.55 for shipping in a bubble mailer and tracking number
+ $2.23 for paypal fees ($1.57) and toploaders ($.66)

= $43.82per slot

$41.50 each slot after that.

Once all the slots are filled, payment will be due and a mod will do the randomization for the draft pick on random.org

Otherwise why not just make 80 slots?

There are 80 hits and each person gets a random 4 slots.

Ahhh... I saw this break last week, but didn't join for the same issue that VC brought up. It looks like this is a random draw for slots, not a draft.

Also, unless I missed something, did you account for the base and the non-hit parallels? '09 Sterling has refractors, gold refractors, black refractors and reds (or whatever color the 1/1s are).

I'm all for a Sterling break, but I'd like to see more details first.

This is a reandom draw to see what picks you have and AFTER the break the picks happen. So you have your choice of what you want out of the case if your 1st to pick...each shot has 4 picks/hits....

I swear the part in bold wasn't there until today. It's a big part of the value of a case - and was one of the reasons I didn't sign up right away.

Either way, I misunderstood the process... got confused with the '20 slots' verbiage reagrding the number of participants, when there are 80 spots in the draft. Makes sense now.

Still... a random draw for 4 boxes worth of base and (valuable) parallels seems odd when there's an easy solution - turn them into 4 more slots.

- Break fills. Everyone pays.
- Draft order is randomly assigned.
- Boxes are opened.
- Everyone drafts (pick #1 gets their choice of all 80+ hits, pick #2 gets 2nd choice, etc.)

I was confused, too, but I'm old and it happens a lot.
