Might be worth a shot. There would be 354ish players total. That would come out to roughly $8 or so per player based on the weekend sale price. I'll work something up and mull it over while I'm at my parents this weekend.

Little bad news regarding the Draft break. I've been sorting for the last 7 hours or so and am only about 1/2 way through. So its not looking likely that things will go out tomorrow. I will get back on it tomorrow morning for a little while before I head to NY and finish everything up on Monday when I get back.

I intend to start using some draft rules in future breaks like this to keep from having what happened in this one happen again

Although, given the results of the break, I think it was well worth the wait

Definitely. The Green's are killing me I've given up for the night as all the numbers are starting to look the same and my wrists/knuckles are killing me.

Heck, yeah, it was!

Just throwing this out there... everyone who enters either submits a pre-draft list or agrees to go by the draft list from the previous draft. Then, toss a 90-min clock on each pick between x a.m. and x p.m.

22 days. Right. Because everyone will take the full 90 minutes. If we had that in place during the last draft, we'd have knocked the whole thing out before Pat broke the cases.

Just a suggestion... if you have a better one (and I'm sure there is a better one), fire it up.

EDIT: 354 picks?

Have the picks in groups of 3 per person, so you can have 19, 20, 21, then they have a 90 minute clock for all 3

Would agree on the rules before the draft.

I like the time limit (30-90 minutes) from the morning to the evening, and if it runs out you just use the pre-rank list, or the list that the person sent to the host.

Either way, the last one was worth the wait, but I don't think any of us would like to do the draft that way again. So let's get some rules in place and do another one again!!

On a side note, you guys really want to do 09 Chrome. There is like 4 good autos in there, a few decent prospects and the rest of the stuff is terrible. Plus even it is $100-150 more then it was a month or so ago. I, personally, would rather stick to draft but that is just me

A lot of great ideas so far. I would agree on a time limit that takes into consideration time zones of the participants. I would also say the live draft should be mandatory for these draft breaks. Sort of a last measure but always scheduled before the cases arrive. On a side note congratulations to the auto slot holders that cleaned up on those 4 cases. 2 of those cases were insane and it's too bad about the price increase since I'm sure a lot of you could do this forever if given the chance.

maybe have the first 50-100 picks hold a live draft on one night, then the next 100 on the next night and so on, with a 5 min limit for each pick.

We are going to bowman draft again, but not at those prices ....

I actually like 09 BC... Cheap and has some okay prospects and usually a fun break.

Just an idea, but what about a team break of 06/07/08/09 Bowman Draft cases. That would eliminate the time that it usually takes. Odds are it would be in the $150 per team slot price, but could be VERY well worth it.

Most of us dont have that money to spend.... This Player draft is fun, and we have time to do the draft...

Incorrect... Most of us do have the money to spend and we would only need 30 people. I would be interested in this idea

I agree. Yes some of the prospects seem weak, but the product hasn't even been out a whole year yet. These prospects haven't had time to shine yet. 3 years from now the next Pujols could be out of this product.

I think 09 Chrome would be a great fun break.

Agree 100% - and this is a great idea. If BO has the cases, count me in!

Wouldn't even need 30 people, just 30 slots, some people may buy more than one spot.

If you did 06/07/08/09 Draft as a team break, wouldn't there be some really bad teams to get:
Cubs
Cards
Brewers
Mariners
Blue Jays
Indians
Tigers
Padres
to name a few!
I am basing this off of top autos/prospects/rc from each year off the top of my head, so I may be wrong. Also, redemptions for 07 BDPP have expired. Now if you get one of the top teams, then you are happy, if not, I guess it is all a gamble anyway. Also not sure about 08 BDPP being available anyway

Just sayin'
