Probably going to do another one of these. 06 isn't great and '10 Bowman is too expensive.

The other idea I had kicking around was a 4 case player break of 09 Bowman Sterling (duals will be randomized off between the players on the card). I have to check on the duals and make sure each player has an individual card for that to work. If anyone is only on a dual and doesn't have an individual card, I will randomize them off to the group.

Thoughts?

2009 Sterling could be pretty good.

I will email Chris about it to get a price and see if he has enough available. Then I will need to come up with the number of total players and figure out the price. Hope to have that done by tomorrow night.

Also, what do you guys think about doubling up some of the WBC guys? I would leave the big guys as their own slot (Chapman, Darvish, etc.). Then take the highest crap WBC guy and pair him with the crappiest crap guy (lowest BV). Keep doing that until all of them have pairs. Would add a little value to the slots that would be far from desirable.

In theory that appeals but in terms of cost I don't see how you can lower the amount of slots for a break this big. If you are talking 8 box cases the 4 case would be over ~$6K(plus/minus any discount). If you consider the duals separately regardless of player that is only 202 slots which would end up near $30-35/slot per player. I don't doubt it could fill at that price but if it inches toward $40-45 /slot then it's a hard sell imo. We all like taking chances evidenced by the popularity of Patrick's breaks but a lower slot price appeals more than getting twice the junk assuming the pairings are both low WBC guys.

Doubling the WBC guys is a bad idea...

#1, in Sterling WBC cards are at least GU Jersey cards. So that helps the value a little bit.

#2, it will only increase the slot price, and if we are doing a player draft style break, it won't matter. The lower slots will draft the appropriate player as desired by the slot holders. Maybe the WBC guys will be a better slot to own than the non-autograph prospect cards in some peoples minds.

Ok, thanks for the advice on that. We will do a slot for each WBC guy. Hoping to have an idea on price by the end of work today. Will probably be a bit cheaper once I get a price from Chris.
