Isn't the point of having the live draft on a certain date to ensure everything gets completed on that date? I am not sure why it is so bad for people to use all or a large part of their 2 hours to make a pick.

Because those towards the end get hosed come Wed night when we draft live and they only get 2 min to pick.

If that was fair then we shouldn't do the live draft and everybody gets the full two hours during the window of time and this gets done when it gets done. Why should the early people get 2 hrs, and then the people in the 90s and above (if we even make it that far by Wed) get forced into 2 minutes??

EDIT: Pat posted while I was typing

I don't think they really get hosed. Ideally everyone should have a pre-ranked list all set (at least in their minds) anyways. There is a lot of interest in this draft and that is why these early picks are taking a while. Lots of people are interested in making trades and such.

Also, this is the first time that we have done the draft style break with this product so people are still feeling out the value of each player.

The same reason pro sports drafts give more time to the earlier picks, they have more value and more people are interested in them.

I think a lot of people have been to the beach lately...

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with you (not anyone specific) taking the full amount of time to work out a deal. Ideally I would just like to see it done a little quicker. And I agree that the beginning of the draft is where you would expect to see it take longer as there is more on the line with those picks.

We can argue about this all day and the rules were set before it started. I will let it die.

Tony you are up, good luck!!

I just want to make it clear that I was just ribbing Eric a little. I agree that alot of these earlier picks are tough to make. I think I changed my pick at #8 3 or 4 times before I hit submit.

Ah, and here comes one of the picks I traded away! Good luck, Mike.

BTW, to whomever drafts the vet base (any of them, preferably Jumbo), I am willing to by that pick from you.
