I'm just curious, and I'm probably missing something here. But in reading the description of the box, isn't buying 2 slots on here the same as buying a box regularly?

EVERY 2-PACK DISPLAY BOX CONTAINS:
* An Autographed Triple Relic Card numbered to 99 or less
* A Triple Relic Card numbered to 36 or less

EVERY PACK CONTAINS:
* 3 Base Cards numbered to 1350
* 2 Base Parallel Cards numbered to 36 or less
* 1 Triple Relic Card numbered to 36 or less OR an Autographed Triple Relic numbered to 99 or less

A box is $159.99 on Blowoutcards. Wouldn't it be the same as buying 2 slots in this, only you are getting the base and parallel cards as well?

You have to read the whole product description. You skipped over what the product description says in regards to the CASE:

Is 2 slots similar to your own personal box break? yes. What are the odds your single box has the triple auto relic card or the 1/1 auto triple relic card? slim to none. The odds of breaking an ENTIRE SEALED CASE and you getting that particular card in a group break? much better odds than your single box break. Just food for thought...

I agree, the buying 2 slots is the same as getting a full box, but the chances at getting 2 autos or a chance at a case hit are much better in the group break.

Sorry guys, I'm new to group breaks so I appreciate the help. I have to be missing something here. You say the odds of getting a triple auto relic or a 1/1 auto triple relic are slim to none when buying boxes. Well, isn't the odds 1 in 18? Or really 1 in 9 for the 2 cards? Considering there is one in every case? In having 40 slots where you only get one card, wouldn't the odds be 1 in 40? Or really 1 in 20 for the 2 cards? I'm just a little confused so any help would be appreciated.

I don't know how to work the numbers, but say you buy 2 slots in this break, the odds that you are going to get both hits in the same box are pretty slim. Just as chances of getting both case hits in the same box are slim. Therefore you have a better chance of getting one of the case hits in the separate boxes your hits come from. Sorry if that is a bit confusing, but its the best way I can describe it.

Everyone who has slots in a group break has their picks randomized. So for example you can have pack 1 in box 3 and pack 2 in box 15. You most likely will not get both packs in the same box.

I guess I understand the fact that the chances of hitting both case hits are possible with the group break, and basically impossible with buying one box. But is that what everyone is going for?

Dawg you have some good points. But in the group break of you buy two slots you have a chance to pull two autos (rather than the standard 1 auto and 1 relic a box yields). On the flip side you could get two relics. It is all about taking a risk, plus it is fun to be involved in a live break over the boards. Granted you don't get the base and possible printing plate redemptions (if baseball does that, I know football did).

Ok we got 9 slots left, I just put down my pre-order officially so this break is official. Once the 9 slots are filled, we will wait until an official release date comes out, cause everybody knows the June release date will be pushed back to late July at the least.
