I don't use the auto-decline. Instead, if someone lowballs me, I just let their offer sit for 2 days. Anyone else viewing the auction just sees the number of active offers, not the actual offer price. If anything, it might generate more offers or get someone to pull the trigger on the BIN if they think there are other legit offers submitted, so in a small way, those lowball offers can help. Now if the offer is really, really low, then I might block them, but otherwise use them to your advantage.

There is no benefit that can come from telling them to "get a life" other than making you feel good for those 2 seconds after you submit. You never know when you'll get some crazy with too much time on their hands who will open new accounts just to neg you or something.

for example my Halak 3clr 07/08 UD the Cup Patch Auto /249, I have received offers of $35 and $37 with my buy it now being $75....1clr patch autos of him do over $35...its just been very aggravating to me, sorry for my rant

thanks for the heads-up also with the offer plan...when I get lowball offers and decline them it makes me mad b/c then others who view my auction see that I have declined so many and wont put in an offer...I will use that to my advantage from now on

The weird thing is is that one card can sell for $80 all day with regular auctions, but as soon as one pops up with a BIN of $80-85 you get all sorts of people that want to weasel it out of you for cheap. But other cards don't do crap as a .99 let it run type auction, but get bought up in a heartbeat as BIN's. Thats probably the case with your Halak. People are weird with the way that they see things when buying/bidding. My advice would be to just let the auction ride out until you see an offer that you just can't pass up and then pull the trigger. Whats the worst thing that can happen? It doesn't sell and you relist it for another 7 days with the same BIN and allow so many more people to see it and possibly hit the BIN button.

with all the lowball offers I have had recently, that one was the tip of the iceberg Captain...guess I could have restrained myself from saying it, but it was absolutely ludacris...oh well, note to self: Do NOT do BIN/BO anymore

no - im not implying you shouldn't do bin/bo.. it has its uses.. im just playing devils advocate of sorts here.. you know.. so you could avoid it next time.

i know we all talk our trash about lowballers and lowball offers, but i think there is something to be said for when it comes to actually dealing with those types.

well after this horrible week of horrible offers, I am going to try to stay away from BIN/BO...that way nothing slips out of my mouth when I get a lowballer lol

I feel you Matt, I've received a bunch of low ball offers on my Stasty Cup RC. This card books HI for 900 and people are offering lower than LO BV. It is frustrating, but you can't let it bother you. I just tell them that I would have to be crazy to let this card go for 300.

BIN/BO's are good because it gives you control. With an auction you have little to no control. Just decline next time with no comment.

That's a little harsh, dont you think. I can't blame them....maybe someone is just trying to move it and they might get a steal on it. No harm in trying.

Thats what I think. Most people that send you lowball offers basically want to get the card at a steal and resell it to make a profit!!!
