So i just got dinged with a negative... a couple of weeks after i closed a dispute with the buyer for non payment after three weeks.. he promised payment day after thanksgiving, i didn't get it so i closed it and dinged him with a neg. he paid the next day but i refunded the money and moved on.
so now i get dinged with a neg. will ebay look at that as retaliatory feedback and remove it? any help will be appreciated. |

Nope your s.o.l. which I think is ridiculous. I just tlaked to someone from fleabay a few days ago about this and they said "since their not involved in the transaction, they can't take sides on what took place." They said that if I get a retaliatory feedback from someone who I deservedly give a negative to they will do nothing about it as far as removing. I was told that my feedback with buyers will "speak for itself and that one negative will not matter."
Translation : We at fleabay only care about you paying your sellers fees every month and could care less about your feedback rating. Please do not bother us with your problems.

If you filed an unpaid item dispute and you closed it after the right amount of time and got your final value fee back than ebay should erase the negative. I have had this happen to me a couple of times and ebay has erased the negative without me doing anything.

Not according to this customer support rep. Here is the reply I got when asking about if they'd remove obvious retaliatory feedback :
I understand your concern that you may receive negative Feedback if you leave negative Feedback for a buyer who doesn't pay for an item. Feedback is a member-to-member system that allows members to leave comments about their transactions. For this reason, it isn't possible for eBay to prevent buyers from leaving Feedback for a purchase that they don't complete. Please be assured that most members will consider your overall Feedback Score when they decide if they want to participate in a transaction with you. Members can review the comments that you've received and left for others, including any replies or follow-up comments, to determine what actually happened on during a transaction.

They will remove the negative if the person leaving it got NARU. It has happened several times to me with 0 FB stiffs.
Retalatory will only be removed if they are stupid and leave vulgar, obscene or stuff not involving the auction. Typically you are screwed, but it doesn't hurt to vent on them. These retalatory negatives really bite. These stiffs refuse to pay over time Walmart wouldn't accept and feel within their rights to leave you a neg just because. Good Luck. |

what did the feedback state , ebay has rules against what u can say

absolute BS. i didn't get a response to all the emails/payment reminders I sent until I opened up a dispute 3 WEEKS LATER. then he responds in the dispute saying he would pay day after thanksgiving. blackfriday came and went with no payment. granted he paid the following day (saturday), i still neg'd him on friday. he tells me a specific day i will expect it on that day. I'm not worried about it, its just extremely annoying thats all. if you look at the rest of my feedback, it speaks for itself. |
