Unhappy Buyer

So if I sell a video camera that works fine but doesnt hold the charge, state in the description that it doesnt hold the charge and explain the problem and say sold as is, what happens when the buyer receives the camera and says "ummm this doesnt work unless it's plugged in". Will they win their case?

With it being Ebay, they most likely will win the case. They don't have to know how to read if they are buying on Ebay

If it was clearly stated in the description then I'd let the buyer take it to the dispute level. No guarantee that you'll win but I'd give it a shot.

I agree with him. Emailing or calling eBay probably wouldn't hurt either

A long while back I sold a ps2 *ya that long ago* and stated item was sold as is and the laser is bad so it will not work.
The guy bought it and then emailed me and told me I was a POS and that the item he bought (for 80$ at the time when ps2s were 300$) did not work and it was a gift for his kids bday... I put it in BOLD all over the damn page....
EBAY sided with him. I bought one of his items and returned the favor and the - feedback.

Selling "As Is" is pointless and actually illegal in many states.

Sell it as "Parts Only".

Technically I don't think "AS IS" is actually illegal, but it is a violation of public policy (laws). I don't think you can get in trouble for selling something "as is" but since it violates law it is a useless phrase.
