Well...Christmas is only 11 days away tomorrow. Hopefully by this weekend or early next week. There won't be time for people to buy the cards and have them shipped out if it gets to close to the date. I ordered some cards this past week and shipping them out took 2-3 days. Figure people would need to buy the cards on Wed/Thurs at the latest to have a chance to get them by the big day.

Saw it late last night on the front page - they have changed the look of the site a little (happen to like the look) and they are now offering free shipping on 12 items until the end of the year!

OK, I know I've asked this before but I just am not getting this new minimum bid with the new .25 cent shipping built in. Perfect example- seller has classified ad showing 50% offers accepted. I find this card:ocsportscards's 2011 Bowman Platinum Prospects Purple Refractors #BPP22 - Corban Joseph - COMC. Asking price is .84 cents. So I divide by 2 and then 25. I put in 67 cents offer and it comes back saying minimum offer is 73 cents. What the heck am I doing wrong????? I'm not an idiot, at least I didn't think so before this. Someone please help me!!!

Figures this would come less than 48 hours after sending a shipment request...I guess it's only 3 dollars

I have been getting on fine all day. I have not switched to COMC yet though, I like Checkoutmycards better.

COMC is growing on me for 2 reasons:

1. I can browse up to 100 items per page
2. I can filter by name / set and card type (IE Auto/Relic/Numbered)

The more I used it, the more I realize BV is irrelevant and people just used it as a crutch.

We actually had a bit of an issue with our site being inaccessible to Frontier customers for a couple of hours yesterday, but everything should be fine now. Sorry for the trouble!

That would be it! I'm getting a little sick of Frontier since their purchase by Verizon - screwed up billing, sending bills to wrong address, service is spotty some days. May need to look at another provider.

I found it...if you go to manage inventory, there is a link to manage promotions....oh wait, there is a catch......

$3/day + 3% of sales.

They have completely lost their minds if they think most people are stupid enough to give a percent of their sales on top of all of the other fees. If anyone does this they are a moron. I have stood up for most of their changes including fees. This is taking it too far.

yup no promotions for me, but it's not like they are forcing it upon sellers. Just another option

Seems like the only difference between auto accept and promotion is that a promotion might show up on the front page and costs more. My excitement level for the promotion feature just fell off the cliff.

I hope that I am wrong, but I am starting to get the feeling that they have outgrown their businessplan. They may have overextended themselves with the new facilities and new employees. There just doesn't seem to be any other reason for the constant fee hikes and new fees. It seems like every couple of weeks it is something new. So the way I see it, they are either going broke, or getting very greedy. I can't decide which one it is. It may just be greed since this was a sneaky fee. I do not recall any mention of it anywhere. So to recap, this could be the fees associated with a single card:

1.) Postage to get the card there.
2.) Fees to list the card.
3.) Fees to keep the card listed each month.
4.) Fee to put your card "on sale".
5.) Fee to sell your card when it is "on sale".
6.) Fee to cash out your cash after it sales.
7.) Or a fee to ship your card back if it doesn't sell.

I know they have to make money, but 5-6 different fees/costs? Surely even they can see that is a bit much. At least bring on the extra site functions that have been "coming soon!" for a long time. It just seems like the users who have made this site what it is are being played with like a yo-yo. Maybe I am just grumpy this morning. I love the site and just do not want to see it go under. There is just so much that the consumers will take before they move on. Once people start leaving you will never get them back, even if fees are pulled back. The damage will be done. Rant over.

I'm giving the promotion a shot considering I'm getting my cards front page exposure currently 25% of the time. If there gets to be too much competition (promotion user base gets too large), then I don't see the value. It will be interesting to see if it drives any sales.

I do find it odd that several "house" accounts are listed amongst the promotion, which essentially waters down the front page exposure rate for actual paying sellers.
