Accidentally shipped wrong card! Buyer won't ship it back.

I sold 2 cards on Ebay a few weeks ago one was for $35 and the other one was for $350 and by mistake i mixed up the cards and sent the cheaper one to the guy who bought the more expensive one and the expensive one to the guy who bought the cheaper one....The guy who was supposed to get the $35 card says the $350 one never arrived but I tracked it and it said it did and i filed a complaint with the post office who then elevated it to the consumer affairs office and they spoke with the guys local post office in Virginia and they confirmed delivery and the lady who delivered it said she did. (The guy who received the cheaper one is informed of the situation and knows whats going on) Am I out of luck here?
He says the card never came I have proof now that he has it.
Ebay said they couldn't do anything
Does anyone know what I can do?

I'd inform him first that you're in the process of filing for mail fraud and that delivery is already confirmed and you will continue to escalate it as far as you can. I'd offer him his $35 card for free to butter him up and just resolve it.

I've had a similar thing happen to me however the value disparity was something like $15 to $100 (not as large as yours). Unfortunately, the guy who was supposed to get the $15 card had pretty low feedback and would not respond to my requests for him to ship the card back to me at my expense + a bonus for his troubles (I ended up giving him a $10-15 SV card even though he was a royal d**k).

I sent a message that resembled the following:

"Please let me know when this is shipped back to me or I will have to contact your local authorities (your name and shipping address will be used along with email evidence through eBay along with coinciding evidence provided by the other buyer who was due to receive the [insert item title here]) regarding the matter."

Even though this was mostly an empty threat it got him to respond within the hour

I did the same thing once. Got lucky and both parties were pretty reasonable about it. I offered to pay shipping costs in all directions and made the "cheap" card free to the guy who returned the "expensive" one.

Mine was similar with a multi-hundred card versus a $15 card.

He does have 100% feeback....I thought he could have been telling the truth and maybe somebody took until I spoke to usps and the guy i spoke to said he talked to the lady who delivers his mail and she said remembers delivering it.

that sucks hope it all works out for you....I had this happen as a buyer a few months back I bought a Ripken patch from 2012 Tribute for $50 something and I got a Nolan Ryan Tribute auto and the guy who bought the Ryan and paid $125 for it got my Ripken....I contacted the seller and he was super happy that I was honest about his mistake, long story short a few weeks later we both got our cards and the seller sent me $20 Paypal for his error and for the return shipping costs....thought it was anice gesture but honesty is the best thing!

I had this happen to me once. I shipped an expensive card(2006 Legendary Cuts Pie Traynor Auto) to the wrong guy, He had bought a Charlie Keller cut auto from me. I didn't even realize it until the guy that recieved the Traynor called me.....it was a kid, maybe 10 or 12 years old. He mailed it back to me and i then sent it to the correct buyer. The guy who recieved the Keller never sent it back to me and stopped answering any of my emails or calls. I felt bad for the kid and bought him a few hundred dollars worth of boxes from BBCE to make him feel better. Moral of the story.....you are S.O.L.
