ebay search function out of whack again?

So I remember recently they said that searching would be better so you wouldn't need wild cards like * after "auto" to get autographs. well I just searched one of my own cards I have listed that has autograph in the title and it won't pull up under auto, only autograph, even with the player/person's name. Now I wonder if this is a glitch on my browser or once again ebay changed things and we all are probably losing bids/buyers who stopped using wild cards (me being one of them when I buy stuff)
