Guys I'm not liking the fees either. To be honest, you can complain on here, or better yet do that (to get it off your chest first), then send an email off to COMC. They're not reading these threads and need to know your thoughts. A flaming email will get no where, but take some time and type up a solid letter and we might be able to help guide some of the changes, so COMC can flurish, and we as buyers and sellers still have a place that can work.

I still wish one of the side projects I knew about flew, but card collecting is labor extensive. Everything from listing (and listing) to pricing, selling, and then shipping. Most everyone here I'm guessing has tried multiple websites (ebay/naxom/sportsbuy/thepit/sportlots, etc, on top of the forums to try and sell stuff. COMC is working on an interesting nitch. Just hope they stick around, but if the fees keep increasing without increasing service to its members (lower cash out fees, or something..not sure what they can give us beyond increased buyers)...there is power in numbers so maybe their willing to listen.

If they were on here, I just hope it wouldnt get to the way Razor got bashed on SCF(?). I think they were willing to listen to ideas and constructive critism..but bash them and why would they want to. Same here...if you talk to me, I'm willing to listen, start yelling and I'll hang up. I've got better things to do with my time than be yelled at. I get enough of that from my boss and wife

I cut my prices down a little bit each day. Right now, I am focusing on the BV $15 cards. I knock them down a nickel a day. The others that are over $15, I take offers and if they are reasonable or I want to barter, I will counter and see if (we) can make a deal.

To Iuvfish2

Well if speaking to them in person isn't having much of an effect on them....i don't know that my email will solve anything else. I was litterally telling the guy that I am pissed...I want you to know that I don't approve of how I and many other are getting treated....then they just go ahead and screw us anyhow.

Not sure what more i can do. I tried to go to bat for the guys on this forum and all i got was a ....well ya know...we have over blah blah sellers and we are swamped with work pulling and looking and looking and pulling....

Fish-
I agree that we should be letting them know how we are feeling instead of just saying we are going to pull out. I think someone needs to write up a letter that makes our points in a professional well though out way and post it here. Then we can all send a copy to Tim's email adding anything else we might choose. Maybe he will thinktwice if he really understands how many people are unhappy. There is power in numbers. Any thoughts on this?

cashing out and taking our inventory with us will speak louder than any letter will.

if there are at least 50 CMOC sellers on here... then you have at least the same number of buyers who are holding cards in their own account... there's 1/8th of their customer base..

if we effectively 'pick up our ball and go home' on march 30th... THAT in itself will send a message. imagaine 50 sellers requestion shipments for their cards - shipments that will probably run on avg 400+ cards per !

Tim G has already made is crystal clear that CMOC does not care about what the collecting world has to say... so instead of us "saying it"... lets just DO IT.

I my letter (below if anyone wants to read it)...keep in mind I'M NO EDITOR. I shoot straight from the hip, and minus poker I dont bluff. While in life I'm not out to make enemies, rest assured I cant be friends with everyone, and will not loose any sleep over it. My opinion is just that mine, you can take it or leave it But I know for congress typically one email/complaint/comment counts for about 100 people. I myself am not a big fan of form letters. If they all look the same, while the numbers matter, I think they loose their focus/point.

Steve,

I've got a few questions based on your recent blog post. With the changes to the uploading fees, any way of changing the way this is done? I've got three shipments that are due to post (one next week, one the following week, one the last week of March). Each of these will be approximately 1000 cards, so 100 bucks each. I have no problems with the shipment being separated, for me its much easier to go through and initally price them, rather than having 3000 uploaded at one (plus I needed some $$, so I cashed out my account, and by doing this in shifts I'd dont expect any issues getting the 100 in my account prior to them being uploaded. If not, I'll gladly add funds to get this done. But what happens if say my 2nd and 3rd postings are not on time, these were well sent in under the previous agreements and in leu of paying the cashout fees, I had planed to use that money to fund these postings. With that is stated, if my posts are not uploaded on time, I'm going to be forced to pay for them? This doesnt seem fair to me. I think they rules should take place on the date the cards are shipped or received, not based on an arbartiary date, as this is effecting the cards you already have on hand.

My second concern was from your previous changes. While I dont like the sleeve fee, I do understand it. I'm still waiting on my 2nd shipment of cards to arrrive from COMC. Do you guys have any policies regarding shipping the cards? My first shipment came when you did your shipping special. Most of the cards were not sleeved. While none received any damage, when someone like myself is buying cards at 5-25 bucks (expception being any Wade Boggs cards I dont have for my personal collection). Shouldnt these cards be at a minimum sleeved? Bowman Sterling for example are cards that tend to grade very well when sent in for that, but their surface scratches very easily, which effects the grading, sleeving while takes time, does prevent the card from being damaged. Damaged cards can't be replaced 9/10 times, but given the fees schedules I'm not sure why this couldnt be incorporated, or even at a minimum I'd pay an extra 0.01 per card to have it sleeved (or even 0.25 to have it sleeved and toploaded) as some cards in my opinion are worth that. Now I'm not expecting my .25 boggs to be well protected (while I'd like it be, I understand the business concept). As long as the cards aren't damaged during shipping, the low end ones I'm not real picky on, but the higher end ones I can be.

I hope you can keep the site around, with the fees changes (my count shows this to be the 3rd change in the past 30 days), in my mind things aren't looking good. And I know on the forums, guys aren't all the happiest either (at this point, the one main thread on blowoutcards.com has 1880 posts since its creation about 13 months ago, that thread has almost 57,000 views. I personally hope you can take a look at reading it. I'm pretty sure overf 20% of the sellers on your site, are on blowout, I might almost take a bet and push that number to 40% (http://www.blowoutcards.com/forums/e...s-com-189.html).

I was skeptical of the site when it first started, which is why its taken me longer to get on the site (I also have plans to get one of my own up and running, but know the logistics of it and found it to be overwhelming given my time contrants). I've used Ebay, Naxcom/Sportbuys, Sportlots, and found yours to be the best as the fees on the other ones will kill you, and the 20% cashout fee here isnt kind, but given I'm not doing the work, I felt ontop of the .10 listing fee, it wasnt bad as I still love the site for trying to find lots of lower end stuff that I need for sets.

I know you guys said you were open to comments, and I hope this isnt taken negativly, but I also dont want it to come off as some flaming email. I'm not happy, and havent been since the storage fee pricing came out, but I understand that one and really have no problems with it given thats a small encentive to get your cards sold. I'd much rahter see something along the lines of you need to sell X number of cards, or X value in cards to avoid the fees, as without the sellers, the site will not get new cards, no new cards and you've lost the audience that seems to be gaining.

Once again Capt....kinda brash However if changes aren't made...March 31st I may see about doing this...downfall is I have 3 shipments pending....should have a shipment (1000 cards) posted each of the next three weeks.
